Debbie Downer here. Deja vu atm, few duds, few 1m sprinkles and the token 1m anomalous high grade hit. Hopefully the bulk samples will be good. Just being realistic, those results weren’t indicative of anything more than we’ve previously seen, but perhaps they’ll form some geological understanding from them.
Roll on next results and tweets about companies over the road.
For those who remember, this was the exact conversation we all had awaiting the fabled Creswick results a few years ago.. Silence just HAD to mean they were bonanza grades and a JV was a sure thing.. Tread with caution and be pleasantly surprised IMO.
They may just have nothing material to say while they wait.
Ti, would a company need to buy out ECR to utilise its tax benefit, or would a JV suffice? If it’s the former then It’s a balancing act as I mentioned in a previous comment. If a straight forward JV meant the major could gain from a 32m break then surely a big big would have done that years ago? Logically. It would be a no brainer. The fact it hasn’t leads me to believe it’s not as straightforward as some think. After all, it’s been in the shop window for years now and nobody’s taken it to the counter. it’s an interesting subject though.
Jesus you read into everything don't you! lol
Perhaps you should keep the cheeky winks on hold until we get the all important, critical, decisive, imperative, paramount, significant and upmost vital results back!
Regardless of what stage the new campaign is, results will dictate the next step. So yes, pathfinder results are important as if they’re a flop, there’s no path, so to speak.
I’m not trying to argue with you Ti, I just personally think ECR needs to be in a more commercially attractive position to butter up a partner who’d benefit from
The tax situation. So as I say, roll on results!
Ecr have had the ability to capitalise on this ‘tax benefit’ for years, what exactly are we expecting the new guys to achieve? Genuine question.
Buddying up with ECR would surely mean taking on some of its liabilities and expenses. So on the one hand you get a tax break, on the other you have to feed the BOD, tuppence a bag..
Surely only viable in a JV type situation? However not being an accountant I’m not sure if a ‘partner’ can make use of the others historical tax break? Surely they’d have to be amalgamated somehow?
Interesting subject, not one I’d necessary be making wink faces at yet though as I’m not sure we’re particularly attractive to anyone else until we get some solid results out! IMO
''Mental....I keep hearing this 'pump the crap out of it' narratibe, but as you can see today there are little/no posts about ECR on Twitter.''
Yea.. they got bored and dumped for a freebie profit around .3p on the initial spike, not many lefty I expect hence our drip back to .21 - I think the recent rise has been genuine sentiment growth (Nick in Aus, results close etc), so that's a good thing.
The only one heavily pumping ECR these days is Ti. Who knows, he may be right!
I am rather negative BlackHopper, about 70% if you must know! Ha
Been miffed since Mike got his crowd in at .175 - Felt played. I just imagine them sat round a pub in Kensington, ‘raa chaps, I’ll get you in dirt cheap as long as you pump the living cr@p out of it for the next 6 months!’

You’re very smug Ti. I like many others bought in on false promises and have paid the price. Having you ramp the socks off it and make petulant remarks while it trades under 0.03p is frankly pathetic. Sorry but it is. I hope ECR succeed and of course exploration is what it is, but when the company has sp@nked millions, overpaid bloated staff, promised JV’s but delivered zilch, dilute us often, buy property and kit only to sell it for a loss, forever talk about the bloke next door etc etc then it becomes more than just ‘not reading the label’. You specifically called me out so you’re getting my opinion. I was a huge ECR bull for years, but look where that got me eh.
These next set of results are crucial! And while exploration is a gamble we’re short stacked on a roulette table with an extra few green zero’s.
Drop the smugness and we’ll get along eh.
