I bought bitcoin £500 at 4.5 ages ago - just a taster really . Thought I'd try to trade up as thought it'd be volatile. Will wait for 9 then sell and see if I can get it lower again how high do you see it going Cam? Any obvious sell price on charts?

Hi Scotlouie, it comes down to simple mathematics (he says praying he doesn't get it wrong). £1000 up 500% = £6000. £1000 up 100% 5 times = £32000. I haven't looked at the stats but I'll bet there are a shed load more 100% moves on AIM than 500% moves.

Hi Kiwi, ARS is going to be big, but it's a buy and hold (2y+). The team in charge are top drawer and have done it all before. HZM looks good - one recommended by Newforestlad. I like TYM for their fluorspar play but think opp to buy in lower around .6 sadly for me.

Hi Cam, I am guilty of getting emotionally attached to the story. When you spend a lot of time researching you start to believe and become attached and that's so human, but it's not actually useful when you're trying to make money. I need to be a bit more ****-like in my relationships with stocks. Have a short fling here and move on before I start doing the washing up. Having a few on the go at the same time that look like they are up for it. Score and leave. I can always call call em up in 6-12m time and go back for more. Terrible behaviour if directed towards women. Fantastic behaviour if directed towards well researched value stocks. If I'd have had an up 100% sell, down 50% buy trading strategy, I'd have made loads on CASP, CLP, NCCL, CLNR, INFA by now.

TYM annoying but I think it's a great opp to top up. Will be resolved, but will take time.

CLP perhaps? back down on delays but great value returning to the books near term and blockchain aspirations to get everyone excited.
NCCL? tariff / JDA expected to be sorted by end of month.
INFA looking like turnaround in full flight and price stil only 48p

Hi All, used to check this everyday haven't looked in for a while. Got lonely! Glad to see thread picking up again- I too have missed it! Interesting that you're now thinking early next year Cam, as I was expecting imminent falls after recent double top and all the trade war noise. I'm in NCCL (moz gov deal nailed on imho), TYM (Sweden calling soon. Confident.) INFA (Actually looking good), CLP (bizarre stock - could explode), CLNR (really not sure now), plus a few minor positions elsewhere. Sold ARS free ride to double down on NCCL, although now wished I'd waited a little longer. My problem remains failing to take profits on a good gain. Need to realise 9/10 times there'll be a retrace! Changing jobs this summer and managed to wangle August off in between! Bliss! The garden needs a lot of work. Will raise a glass of white Rioja to you guys this eve! Be good to get the thread cranked up again. Anyone see GER:KOR game earlier?! Lovely!

New all time highs on FTSE with prospect of trade wars diminishing...

Doh! He said 16th may. Which has already passed. Hmm.

The 22nd May approaches and the FTSE is nearing a double top? Will it crash through and keep going or start the long expected bear market? Cam has read the runes and I think the fact he's totally out if the market tells you where things go from here. Even though I've heard people saying UK investments still cheap.

I was thinking about limit sells and buys just the other day. The more I know about a company the more emotionally involved I become and the more I begin to believe and the less clear I become about target shareprice. When you step back and think : what do I want, the answer is 'more money', so automatically taking a % gain is so brutally effective and removes any of the psychological element which I can see is leading me to miss out on profits. As I've said before it's about the next 100% on the next stock. £1000 up 500% is £6000. £1000 up 100% 5 times is £32000

Also didn't sell NCCL in 9s and now back to 6s. Note to self: have clear strategy for each share and a sell price. If I had sold at 100% on Clp and NCCL I could now be buying a lot more on the retraces or moving in to another share. Perhaps limit orders are way to go. Remove the emotion and go on the %s only.
