From what I understand the trade reporting goes through to an independent reporting system not governed by the LSE so if there was a price improvement above the bid (say) With one broker and a better one improved with another then the system wrongly I agree thinks it’s a sell so reports it that way . I did speak with the Stock exchange about it some time ago but had no luck trying to remedy the problem..
RTC Thats not quite right.... Trade reporting on trades that are of a larger size than the NMS in this case 300000 can trade report 90 mins later than the timed stamp of execution. somewhere in the LSE TRACE rules you,ll find it ....
As an ex MM. they want you to buy into it right now .to them there is no immenent danger of a massive ramp of buying that will catch them short . Pick your spots lower it will drift into you that way they can only nick a turn of a few points rather that the wads lots of PI ,s let them get by paying the offers .dyor of course
RNS 1st April There is yet to be a farm in for Scally

not sure there is mm manipulation they could easily be a small basket of aim listed small caps say 50 stocks with a monetary amount so its 20 of ggp 35 of rbd 76 of sxx blah blah could be wrong but would nt read anything into it ....
By the London Stock EXchange in consultation with the Market Makers who request to make markets in the stock. they can move the NMS either up or down depending on the liquidity of the stock and daily volume. but to move it they must request in writing to the LSE and give 24 hour notice that its changing. or thats what used to happen it may have changed since my time but i,m sure its not far wrong.
you are correct archways the 300000 is the NMS Nominal Market Size for greatland your explanation is a little bit more advanced than I thought I needed to explain I too am from the Broking world and an ex MM (please dont expel me from the board) I was trying to simplify my answer in order that smaller buyers and sellers dont get ripped off.
If your order is less than the NMS OF 300000 then the MM must execute the trade at the market or better....
