RE: Alibaba secures foothold in Myanmar23 May 2018 17:39
No reason to think that it couldn't happen. Tencent and others have been in discussions with Mysquar. Unfortunately its seems that they are not prepared to pay a premium for our proposition just yet. Eric has not been prepared to hand over the company for pennies hence we are where we are.
What can change?
For one thing the current sentiment and momentum around the company is hamstrung due to the conversions. As was pointed out Atlas can convert at an attractive price even if the company release a very positive RNS and the SP jumps significantly. As such I would hope that the new strategy direction of e-commerce and payments coupled with gaming opens the way to a reinvigorated set of results that will bring Tencent back with a realistic offer.
The SP at this price is a reflection of poor sentiment and opportunistic conversion manipulation. It would be nice if the company could issue an RNS that boosted the sentiment but I think we may be waiting for a few more weeks
