Some decent 3M and 4M buys coming in now

Confirmation of spudding any day now guys bargain prices at these levels

Have taken up a small position here. My thinking is that with yesterday's announcement having caught everyone by surprise including the MM's there has been an orchestrated attempt to drag this back down to the current bargain prices. Just listened to the proactive interview and I have to say it's one of the best Arthur has done in a long time. So very soon I wouldn't be at all surprised to see this shooting back up and staying up this time

Canadian Overseas Petroleum Limited's (LON:COPL) Arthur Milholland talks to Proactive London about their 'game changing' acquisition of Atomic Oil & Gas LLC.

The transaction has a reported deal value of US$54mln - comprising a US$1mln deposit, US$26mln of assumed debt, US$23mln of debt and cash payments, plus US$4mln in shares.

Milholland believes that in just twelve months daily output will exceed 5000 barrels a day, from 400 barrels a day.

He goes on to say Canadian Overseas Petroleum is the 'most liquid stock on the London Stock Exchange'.

Yet you have done nothing but post obsessively on just the COPL board for the last 24hrs apart from one post on RMM where you are cross ramping COPL. So forgive me but anyone can see you are here talking this up for yourself in order that you can dump and go onto the next big thing lol

Cont'd....so if COPL can offset their tax losses into this acquisition then this deal could end up being even better than first thought!

Ok I accept from my earlier post that there are a lot of unknowns currently with how this acquisition is going to be funded but one thought has occurred to me. Presumably COPL have accrued huge tax losses over the years (likely to be in the many millions) and now they have announced an acquisition in the oil and gas sector so I'm thinking they may actually be able to offset those tax losses into this acquisition?

As much as I'd like to be positive about today's deal it is not clear imo how exactly this is going to be paid for. I think there is a dangerous assumption that OPL 226 will come to the rescue and help COPL to fund this acquisition but either way you look at this there is likely to be significant dilution in the end to get this through imo

Excellent top up opportunity here especially considering only a couple of days ago some were paying 1.05p!

Well since then when the SP was 0.60 we are now up over 50% at 0.925p.
Plus the company have confirmed material progress in several RNS's and that everything is on track for spudding before end of Dec.

Well we know who is correct and it ain't you Sonofscb so if you haven't already I suggest you get back in here quickly before this is above a penny by maybe tomorrow or Tues...

Oil prices find new strength as financial markets prep for a 2021 recovery

(Bloomberg) --Brent crude topped $50 a barrel last week for the first time since March, a milestone for an oil market that’s been grinding its way back out of a deep slump for months.

Things aren’t back to normal yet, but the positive signals are proliferating. The enormous glut of fuel that accumulated this year on everything from tiny barges to giant supertankers is being steadily depleted.

While the coronavirus pandemic is worse than ever in the U.S., demand in Europe is bouncing back as a second wave of lockdowns eases and Asia continues to pull in huge volumes of crude.

But there’s more to this than a realignment of supply and demand -- huge financial flows are also driving the price rally. In a world that’s expecting to see travel recover sharply next year, crude has become a hot Covid-vaccine trade.

“Oil is the cheapest of all reflation assets,” said Amrita Sen, co-founder of London-based consultant Energy Aspects Ltd. “With vaccines slowly rolling out, we expect investors to start returning to the oil sector and for prices to continue firming.”

The figure is over 1.5M I believe which is no small change. In a couple of interviews from a month ago he talks about the potential for the SP to be "many many multiples of the current market cap"
This is not ramping on his part at all but a reasonable view based on what they know is on the 3D seismic data and what they expect to find in the Cane Creek and additional 5 zones when they start drilling. He mentioned that the value for Cane Creek alone based on the 2c reserves of 10 million barrels is £50M and that's based on $45 oil.
WTI is currently just above $46.5. So if they were drilling for just oil in the Cane Creek reservoir that's a potential 8-9 bagger alone hence why he is not unreasonable in his claims this could be worth many many multiples.
This also does not include any potential for expansion in acerage of the Paradox Basin or any announcement of deals in the Wyoming/DJ basin with potential near term production or producing assets to bring in revenue.
With a potential deal there's the potential Colin mentioned to bring in tax investors as it's possible they could utilise the $15M in tax losses that have accumulated over the years.
Rose over the years have spent upwards of $10M and at least have the invaluable 3D seismic data to show for it. Hence why when you put this all together the current disconnect between the current mcap and what it should be becomes so apparent. What's also rare is that the company is now a clean shell with no debt being led by a world class management team.

Anyone else pick up on the mention of Schlumberger in the latest Proactive interview? Mentions that as well as using the research institutes for evaluating the data they will be using Schlumberger for the process and evaluation of data phase too which I found interesting!

So if we split it 50/50 Colin and Rick both have a 9.67% share EACH. How many companies could you say have director's with that level of exposure? Not many that's for sure. As they say follow the money!

With this in mind, Zephyr has already identified two highly ranked locations that might be easily drilled from the host vertical well, which could also be reused should there be interest to test other, shallower clastic zones.
