"If the trial had been designed differently it could so easily have had a different result"
I'm inclined to agree with Manifesto here that Synairgen has been a victim of nothing more than this. Therefore with this being the only reason that I believe SNG001 failed it's primary and secondary targets, I believe the answer to this question.....
"Does anyone know of any example where a drug has failed both its primary and secondary end points but still managed to get an EUA?"
.....is that Synairgen WILL soon provide such an example of this based on the way the trial was designed AND the encouraging data that was confirmed alongside the recent announcement which gives reason to be hopeful.
Yes Polygon will not have access to "price sensitive information" but they will have been in regular contact with the bod given the sheer amount of capital they have invested, and perhaps discussed the plan the bod have in place to analyse and interpret the data they have. I've no doubt they have been encouraged by the optimism from the bod that there is a way forward here for SNG001 and that all is not lost.
No company will just up their stake on a whim from an already huge 18.10% to 25.29% (over 7%) without having sought assurances and doing their own DD, especially with the likes of Polygon.
