COPPER POTENTIAL
"At M2 in the Black Mountain claims group, where substantial additional potential is thought to be present, Great Western has already established an Inferred Resource of 4.28 million tonnes at 0.45% Cu and is actively seeking a partner or partners of sufficient size and capability to help expand this copper resource to the next stage."
"The encouraging results of the IP survey at the EM Group in late 2021 represent another strong copper target and should enhance the potential for acquiring industry partners."
GGP went from 0.10p initially to 0.50p, then all the way to over 30p at one point, current SP just over 13p. GWMO could do a similar move SP wise over a period of the next few years if the Copper and Gold assets on their licence areas are materialised.
Company are initially targeting up to 1.5M ounces of gold across the Rockhouse group, Mineral Jackpot (whereby several old mines are believed connected together at MJ) and OMCO where I believe discovery of the gold vein east of Olympic is imminent.
Then there's the potential for rich pickings from the tailings and spoil heaps for which a full commercial plan is being formulated with hopefully soon a resource based estimate of what is there along with potential for non dilutive financing ( such is the confidence of the company about the commercialisation of the sheer size of the heaps/tailings).
So the gold is exciting and potentially game changing - the copper however would really be the icing on the cake. The language used recently by the company shows their confidence in getting an industry leading partner aboard for our copper. Given the current price of copper and long term price projections and high demand for the stuff, our copper asset WILL be snapped up by someone with deep pockets, who will see it as economically recoverable even taking into account the terrain of where our asset lies.
My money would be on someone like Rio Tinto.
Low end estimate of our copper is 15-20Mt 0.45% Cu with high end estimate of up to 200Mt. Based on those estimates it would DEFINITELY be deemed commercial for recovery of copper.
