They may have already booked the other acts, but just not announced them yet.

Looking in the ticketmaster website seems that the early bird tickets are sold out, the VIP packages are close to sell out and the first tier of the stadium is mostly booked, with the first few rows of the upper tier booked too. Going well for less than a week of sales, must be close to then40% break even by now. More headline acts announcements will help push on ticket sales.

So apparently the company having landed a massive new deal for KPOP that will not only bring in new revenue next spring, but has the potential with the 100% streaming rights and sponsorship revenue is now worth less than before the contract was announced.

Yet this is a multi-year contract for that KPOP festival (option for 5 years) which would be worth more than the market cap, and the company has indicated that it is looking at other European KPOP festivals (i.e scaling up the offering). Add to that from 2023 the Formula E contract is a multi year contract that is worth more than the market cap and that’s before the efest (golf, efest activities and concert) which is probably on the same scale again with the option to scale up to other Formula E host cities.

Then add that the bricks in stock and the models are worth more than twice the market cap and the bricklive touring business (which is of course completely covid safe, and is global, and unaffected by the current UK restrictions) is well in recovery mode with more tours booked for next year at this stage than ever before, with a recurring revenue stream that is potentially equal to the market cap every single year.

I see a lot of talk on lots of these boards that the muppets are manipulating the price etc, and its easy to dismiss as investors looking for something to blame when the share price goes down. But having watched this for quite some time and tracked the buys and sells its very clear that its reality and not fantasy. What is clear is that the MMs are in deficit, probably selling shares they don’t have, and are trying to claw them back. But agree your point about the headlines, UK sentiment has been impacted by covid and has affected the majority of shares today. Hopefully there will be a reminder that LVCG business is not affected by current concerns as all their tours are socially distanced compliant, and its also clear that businesses are looking ahead a few months and starting to book events to bring customers back (Marwell for example). Agree your point that when that happens this will be a very big recovery play.

And there’s the evidence of clear manipulation from the muppets, but looks like everyone is wise to their antics now.

Look carefully at the trades over the last few sessions and its clear that the market muppets have been selling shares they don’t have. They are running a deficit of probably close to 2m shares, so they are up to their usual tactics of dropping the bid to encourage sellers. Trouble is that has only encouraged buying. Seen it plenty of times before and it will correct itself when they actually raise the bid to encourage profit takers.

MONSTA X‘s new album has topped this week’s fan-voted new music poll.

Music fans voted in a poll that was published Friday (Dec. 10) on Billboard, choosing The Dreaming as their favorite new music release of the past week.

MONSTA X’s The Dreaming, the K-pop group’s second English-language album, brought in an overwhelming majority of the vote, at 86.72%. The K-pop group’s new record was released the same week as their feature film Monsta X: The Dreaming, an inside look at the six-piece’s journey over the past six years. In second place on the poll results was Fighting Demons, Juice WRLD‘s second posthumous release, which had 11.53% of the vote. Suga from BTS guests on the track “Girl of Your Dreams,” and Polo G, Trippie Redd and Justin Bieber also make appearances on the late rapper’s album.

Really, thanks for stopping by knysna. Don’t let the fact that the company have released a game changing RNS about the biggest European festival for the worlds fastest growing music genere get in the way.

What I find really interesting is how closely coupled the market muppets scrabbling about for stock and the appearance of those telling us that this is a “pump and dump” or that they are “holders but worried”.

Utter nonsense. Even last year at the height of the pandemic, concerts were not cancelled across Europe. This is a winter virus.

The KPOP festival is already set up with a broadcaster and there are links with the biggest streaming providers on the planet in existence too. Have a look at the earnings that Blackpink made this year from streaming and sales. There is big money to be made from having 100% of the broadcast and streaming rights, especially for a group that has a big worldwide prescence outside of Korea.

Much has been said about K-pop borrowing liberally from American hip-hop culture, but on their second English-language album, The Dreaming, K-pop group Monsta X pays homage to boy-band culture, with Nineties-style harmonies, slick choruses, and head-bopping beats that come together for an infectious and joyous 27 minutes.
Recorded while Covid still kept much of the world on edge, The Dreaming is an ode to simpler times, with Shownu, Minhyuk, Kihyun, Hyungwon, Jooheon, and I.M. belting out lyrics about falling in love — and yearning for their feelings to be reciprocated. “Don’t make me beg, don’t walk away,” they plead on the disco-funk track “Better,” which wouldn’t sound out of place on a Jonas Brothers record. “I need you ’cause I know I’ll never get any better.” They’re even more direct on the acoustic-driven “Tied to Your Body,” which loops a groovy guitar riff over a syncopated chorus performed in near-perfect falsetto. “Everyday I’m a little more obsessed, I’m a little more attached, you know that you got me just a little more tied to your body,” they sing

The Dreaming features contributions from songwriters like David Stewart (BTS, Jonas Brothers), Teddy Geiger (Shawn Mendes, Lizzo), and John Ryan (Harry Styles, Maroon 5). And while some of the lyrics would sound cheesy or overly saccharine if sung by other artists, they work for Monsta X in large part because of the group’s sincerity — you can’t help but believe what they’re singing. It isn’t just on the love songs either; these guys aren’t afraid to get vulnerable when it comes to exposing a two-timing partner on the midtempo “Whispers in the Dark,” which rides an Eighties-style beat with lines like “Lying through your teeth while you’re lying next to me.”

What is clear is that Live Nation’s business model is selling tickets and running festivals. They have grown by acquiring not creating. Its also clear that Korean Pop and culture is a major growth sector around the world and Cicliteria has some very good links into this community and has pulled off a pretty amazing deal this week. LVCG own all the rights for putting this on and there have been plenty of figures given that show this is going to be very lucrative and deliver significant revenue within the next 6 months. On the interview today it was made clear they get a 40% share of the ticket sales above break even. Take the average ticket price and do the maths that’s probably £600,000 slice of the ticket sales. On top they get a £200,000 management fee. Then there is merchandising, sponsorship and streaming rights. Other posters have show that this this could be very lucrative indeed and add a few million in revenue next year off this one event, for little outlay. Plus this a multi year deal and is transportable to other venues. It was made abundantly clear that LN were very interested in what had been created. Does it fit their business model? Of course it does. Does Formula E fit their business model? Of course it does. Its not just an obvious link, but an actual link with actual interest it seems.
