160 employees earning let's say £35000/yr each is £5,600,000. That's just the wage never mind everything else. How many years to become profitable? Very simple arithmetics but nonetheless worrying.
I placed a £100 bet on Liz Truss to become the next prime minister. I shall be off to William Hills to collect just under £1000 beats anything happening on here.
I don't think the true horror of food inflation later in the year has hit home. We buy one load of artificial fertilizer per year. Last year that cost me £6600.00. This year the same product same quantity has cost £27000.00 . Many people simply don't believe it's possible. Many food products will have to more than double on supermarket shelves. Inflation will top 20%.
Well, I'm installing a new ice cream-making machine on the farm so I can sell directly to the public. Let's hope the demise of the dairy industry is a few more years away.
Just watched the presentation given by Mr. Chow. At one point he seems to imply that antibiotics are routinely given to dairy cows as a matter of course. This is completely untrue in the UK.
Hello I'm wondering if someone on here could help me. I have discovered I have a share cert for Hambledon mining. I believe Hambledon has turned into Altygold . They have just sent me a voting card for the AGM. Would the number of shares I owned in Hambledon be the same in Altyngols? .............Thanks
Keeping you up to date on the fertilizer madness. Farmers who bought their fertilizer back in the autumn can now sell it for more money than they would actually make out of growing the crop. ( wheat ). Which is exactly what some are doing.

Last spring I bought one lorry load of fertilizer that cost £6650 that same lorry load today would cost £27000 . This of course is an impossible purchase. Food shortages later in the year are absolutely certain
Hello, idg69 because I am involved in food production for humans I receive associated magazines etc... I read an article in one of them and realized the potential. I have 176000 shares and have a standing order to buy £150 worth each month.
I see my prediction of 16p/17p has come true...........The mad clamor for shares in the rights issue was indeed nonsense. I purchased mine at 8p ............I have tons of them................just to rub it in...
RE: A cows life: the true cost of milk17 Feb 2022 13:27
Dairy farmers can only use antibiotics when they have an animal that is sick and only when prescribed by a veterinary surgeon A sample of milk is taken every single day by the dairy company and tested for various things one of them being antibiotics. Should your milk fail you are in serious trouble. If the farmer cannot identify the animal involved he or she is immediately suspended. I cannot speak for the procedure in other countries.
