Indeed you may well be correct .. in all the agricultural Publication's I read I have yet to see mention of lab meat or milk....

I am now going to milk 120 cows .......I have done this everyday for the last 40yrs ...........roll on lab milk...

I disagree Blunalu is an easy sell .A few adverts showing fishermen hauling up some dead dolphins ocean beds ruined discarded nets with trapped sea turtles in them ....and so on ...People are changing quickly when an alternative becomes available up take will be swift.

The land currently used for livestock production will be used to grow all the plants needed in the cellag factories ....farmers will be needed the handouts will continue...........Why are farmers only buried 6 inches deep?............so they can still get a handout........

I am an older farmer ...........believe me when the fine detail is published very few will qualify and if i could point out the reason there are so many older farmers could have something to do with inheritance tax releif which active farmers qualify for and retiered ones do not .

In one of Mr Mellons many interviews i remember him saying Lloyds bank would be a very good buy at 30p.....currently 47p

I don't understand the rush to buy at 22p it would take very little to drop into the teens .......let's say Mr Cooper house of Bluenalu has a heart attack or lab meat infects an operator with botulism I.....down would go the price and we could pick them up cheap

Tyson food .a huge American conglomerate currently slaughtering 6000,000 chickens a day....30,000 head of beef cattle a day and 48000 pigs a day........(I know mind boggaling}....are investing millons of dollars in this sector.presumably they have done their research and seen the future

I own shares in Genus the cattle and pig breeding company...big players in America and China....they are currently trading at 50 pounds a share .,. surely Agronomics future prospects could exceed this,?

Yes, liquid milk sales are on a slow steady decline but milk used for everything else ie.. cheese yoghurt cream etc. continues apace actually this country is not self-sufficient in milk. You also ask whether my compatriots are at all worried by the disruption from the myriad of alt foods being developed. The answer is no 99.9% have no idea what's going on if I tell them a firm in California called perfect day foods has developed cows milk without the need for cows i am simply dismissed as a nutter. I have had it pointed out to me that Dolly the sheep happened years ago and nothing ever came of that! ....I rest my case...

I should perhaps have explained the effect of lab-grown mince on the dairy industry as well. When a cow becomes unproductive dairy farmers replace them with younger versions if we didn't milk production would cease. Old cows do not produce prime beef hence the vast majority end up as mince. As we speak I receive approx £600-£800 per old cow.
To lose that income would finish a good many dairy farmers . So you see the ripple effect of just one product can be massive
