The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
Is there an online link as to progress of the Arctic Fox rig on it mobilisation progress to site? I remember one being online last time the rig was mobilised.
Dear Shareholders
It is with great optimism that I present my Chairman's Report for the 2019 financial year.
As I write, Nordic Rig#3 is on location and preparing to spud the Charlie-1 well.
Up to 100 jobs are thought to be at risk from Premier Oil’s plans to terminate vessel owner Teekay’s contract for a North Sea field.
But talks with operator Hibiscus about redeploying the vessel to the Malaysian firm’s Marigold field, offshore UK, has provided a glimpse of hope.
Premier Oil has served Teekay with notice to remove the Voyageur floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel from the Huntington field, according to the minutes of a”townhall” meeting seen by Energy Voice.
“The agreement to proceed with the scheme of arrangement is an important step in securing a strong platform for Premier Oil’s future success,” a spokeswoman for the Ad Hoc Creditors, a creditor group supporting Premier’s plans, said.
“Any frustrating actions by ARCM would be designed to cause maximum disruption and uncertainty in order to fuel the hedge fund’s only recently disclosed material short position in the company.”
ARCM had no immediate comment.
Will the 1 billion market capitalisation be broken today?
Judge Sarah Wolffe ruled the company can proceed to a creditor vote on a proposed change in terms on $2 billion-worth of debt.
With the below news just breaking, I see a lot of lights being switched off in Hong Kong.
Will there be a further RNS today or has Tuesday covered everything?
Luckcounts - I genuinely fail to see the comparison between Hur and PMO. The two are so far apart in terms of business model and diversification that your comparison doesn't hold any creedence whatsoever.
Do we really need to wait until Thursday's TU before opening that Blue Label?
£1.8 billion debt mountain??? They still can't get there currency correct. How does $1.99 billion convert to £1.8 billion? Try £1.51 billion Ed Clowes. Shoddy journalism once again.
Hopefully the next few RNS's will be along the lines of $450million secured for Zama, Alaska is a gusher, Sea Lion FPSO construction to begin 3Q 2020, Solan 2 well campaign increases prod by 4-5k, Tolmount online 4Q 2020..... anything else I've missed out?
"Today's announcements have the potential to transform it into one of the more investible names in the space," said BMO analyst David Round."Not only will these deals add scale and growth, but importantly Premier's deleveraging will accelerate towards much more manageable levels."
Tony just confirmed in the webcast that they've consulted with all their creditors and have the approval to proceed with the published plans. What a fine start to the year.
Actually, when you digest ALL of the information released, I believe that this is a pretty smart move. Future proofing if you will.
From ShareHub's Twitter feed yesterday:
Hedge fund in question has largest £130m short bet taken out in UK. They didn't see Iran/US war coming and look in very big trouble. No surprise to see them using media to muster up poor sentiment. PMO could reach 150p on Oil pb spike at which point this hedge fund would be??.
Realistically, will they let us know who the successful bidder was before Christmas?
