Hi Tig
Well said.
I think a lot of it boils down to a lack of patience and laziness. All the “information” that you mentioned is easily available. “Speculation” on the other hand, well, I think that takes me back to patience. We now live in a society where folk look for and expect instant gratification. You see it everyday here. Somebody moans about selling out, then the price went up. No patience.
I don’t entirely blame them, I think some of it is generational. You and I were lucky to be born into times when gratification in most things took some effort on our own part.

Max ( waiting patiently for whatever this little adventure brings)
I get very nervous when people start talking about JVs and going mining with all the additional risk that might bring.
Personally I don’t think there is much chance of that. As I said before, Newcrest do not do joint ventures in Oz. The have one only at Red Chris in BC. That makes perfect sense, it’s a new jurisdiction for Newcrest.
I mentioned risk, and I think that plays both ways. For us there is the issue of funding, all the attendant and hidden risks with sinking a new mine.
Newcrest are not going to want to share this with anyone, I think they would also see us a potential liability, they will want full control.
So my guess is Newcrest will complete the MRE and buy out Havieron or they will take the lot. It’s a pure guess, but I think that they will take it all.
Something I read from Chartbuster I think it was struck a chord. People here talk about GH not selling out unless we get a decent offer, but really it will be up to share holders and what we are prepared to accept. My guess is 25p would be accepted by the majority. It may not be fair value, but that really isn’t the point. Greed of the herd will settle the price.
Just my ramblings of course. Like everyone else I don’t really have a clue how this will end.

Hi Schlemiel
I can still remember seeing the first live TV pictures from the US via the Telstar satellite in 1962 ( I was 6 years old).
We take so much for granted now. Back then holding in your hand (as I am now) a smart phone which can literally be your window to the world would have been science fiction.
It’s good sometimes to just take a moment to think about, and appreciate these things.
Still ultra relaxed here about our investment in GGP. I believe that this really is a once in a lifetime opportunity. The enormous upsides continue to be derisked with ever new update. Once the MRE is in I believe that is the point that we will begin to see true initial value, but I still think that is the most likely point that an offer from Newcrest will be forthcoming.

Hi Tom
I’m on the San Miguel here!
I’m as sure as I can be that you made the right decision piling in for a top up this morning. Sandeep is not going to start rowing back on his previous positivity, not if everything we are hearing is true, and I’m expecting some very positive words from Gervaise tomorrow.
As for the share price, I’m not concerned what happens tomorrow, the MRE is the real prize here. It’s a real shame some people don’t have the patience to hang on, too many traders and gamblers just after a quick buck.
This is going to change our lives, and reward our patience. I’ve never felt more relaxed about any other investment. Tonight should just further de-risk our investment further.
Just need to make sure I’m not too pi**ed to read the report!! :-)))))
All the very best to you Tom and all the other patient holders here.

Hi Tom
Wish he’d been here today with some of his level headed comments “listen to the facts and not the noise”. It might have calmed the sphincters of some of the bandwagon hopping bedwetters, who have clogged up the board all day!

Holding 7 figures @3.6p. Happy to hold the lot until the end game, whether that is a TO, partial buyout of Hav, or continued 25 / 30% share of Hav with Newcrest.
My own view is that Newcrest will take the lot, but really not fussed either way.
Hi Spy
I think you said to expect something that we hadn’t even considered. Could it be that they have now discovered mineralisation much closer to the surface and have decided to go (at least initially) for an open pit?

Hi CT C
The section of the report on reporting exploration results is actually really interesting. At least we can be assured that there is a set of rules about how and when those results are reported.
Thanks for the link.

Hi Kempey
Remember that GGP will know just what Newcrest know, so they can’t really “play this down” unless Gervaise agreed to do the same. I suppose the language could be somewhat muted, but then if Gervaise felt they had not been fair in their presentation he would be using very different language.
Sandeep also needs to sell Hav to his shareholders if he is going to spend a large chunk of cash buying out GGP / Hav.

In summary I don’t see this as a problem
