RE: RNS21 May 2020 16:26
Ok the sp pre trial was over £1.50 this was in 2018 and it fell afterwards to around 35p. It then traded down towards the 10p mark, but we know that the cohort that made up the sample for the testing showed no side effects and in some instances they showed positive signs following treatment. Think there were about 60 as part of the cohort. 'Primary endpoint successfully met from the open label extension study evaluating safety and tolerability from the Pivotal Phase III trial of Lupuzor™ in patients with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus'
A deal was signed with Avion in November 2019 Avion who will fund the full expected costs of the new Phase III trial up to $25 million. ImmuPharma will receive milestone payments of up to $70 million. A $5 million milestone payment will be paid on regulatory approval of Lupuzor™ in lupus, and $65 million will be based on achievement of overall sales targets. This news took the sp back upto around 32p. This is now acts as an upper resistance.
We had an update in Feb 2020 advising of a meeting with Avion and FDA in Q1 2020 (April - June) that will confirm next steps, but also suggested potential commercial opportunities.
Last Thursday the update advised 'that part of an overall evaluation of how we might apply our patented technologies to the fight against the Covid-19 epidemic, within our 'Autoimmunity' therapy area, we have also been considering the unique way that Lupuzor ™ interacts with the immune system and any potential application to Covid-19.'
Today we had confirmation that the AGM will take place on 18/6 and my view is that the meeting with Avion will take place before then.
100% from here more than likely, however depending on improving news flow of course £1 is possible. Have you not seen how much money the US have paid Astra (£1.2B) for development of a cure for CV - this is happening around the world. If there is any potential to use our pipeline to treat or improve chances of survival in patients with CV is it not completely plausible that money could be invested here, not only by Avion but other Pharma companies?
