I don't disagree NewKOTB. Question is are the board in agreement and what is their strategy to counter this, assuming they would be against a low ball offer. It's been mentioned they are getting on a bit so maybe they would be happy with a 40% odd premium?

I would have to disagree schlemiel, a number on this board including myself lol loaded up in the low 20s, just need to decide when to derisk. It’s all about timing - buys, sells and hold, whether it’s a risk on or risk off market.

Chevron acquiring Andarko should kick off some mergers and acquisitions in the O&G sector in coming months. Will SQZ merge with some of the smaller - mid tier o&g companies ? Less of them around though (IAE, FPM). However, there's JOG, PMG, HUR, PVR. Can't see sqz merging with high debt companies like PMO or ENQ though

Hopefully we get some further interest and buying next week

I was in IAE & FPM. Both went for peanuts. I saw FPM get to around 160p and then there was a drop to around 120p and then the offer came in around 160p from memory. IAE was even worse.

Within about 4 years or quicker, at the current cash generation we are going to get close to $1 billion cash. That will be with BKR, Erskine, Rhum3 and Colombus. Excluding any other deal that cash build is crazy for an AIM oil and gas company. Just keep on adding on any weakness.

Share price being controlled by someone or a number, SQZ have loads of cash and cash being generated massively. Hardly no debt. It’s no wonder we would be a target.
Someone wants in. Seen if before where FPM & IAE was taken over cheaply. Hope it doesn’t happen here, but BOD may have no say in the matter.

Rawallen gave an excuse to bring the share price down to stupid levels and then some uncertainty on the final year figures ahead of the RNS caused some people to de risk and sell out. However, now that everyone knows what cash we are generating the only way the share price should go is up (barring any usual risks associated with oil and gas)

Current Market cap approx £386m, but we are building cash at a fast pace, within 12 months the cash balance will be upwards of £200m.
Market cap needs to increase significantly.

Unbelievable projected earnings and profit, 6 months to 1H 2019 results in September, accumulate on any weakness. September results should be even better.

Any further acquisitions will just be the icing on the cake. Well done to the management

When big institutions are interested they can influence the share price, particularly if they didn't take part in the placing or they didn't get as many shares as they wanted.
There may be a big buyer out there wanting lots more, but at around 80p.

2018 accounts are pretty much known so i cant see anything new there. The forward guidance is what to look for in terms of cash generation and costs. Also any future activity with Rhum3 and any further acquisitions.
September 2019 update is what will drive this further. The update next week is a short term calculated trading opportunity

Dabbler1 - yes, oil stocks not really moving much with price of oil. I think investors waiting on any material changes or traders buying in near enough close to major updates.

Considering oil price has gone up significantly in last few weeks, the share price of some oilies hasn’t responded including TLW.
Anyway, AGM coming up followed by operational update in June and then 2019 half year update in July. Also news on Guyana drills around June and July.
Plenty to look forward to.

vultures will be circling for our cash position, seen it with Faroe. Need to make good use of that cash.
