Looks like the market is awaiting the Hammerhead appraisal results before any further share price increase

I’m not so sure the share price will go through the roof, Ithaca and Faroe were acquired at ridiculous prices

Out of interest, if ECO & partners hit oil and ECO decide to sell the asset rather than be acquired, would the Guyana government levy a tax on ECO? We have seen this with the Ugandan government on TLW and previous other examples in Africa

Market waiting for Q1 US GDP data - out at 1330. Oil & PMO is waiting for direction after this

Reason is we are coming into the quieter summer months, no expected material news until the IH 2019 trading statement in late September. Traders are elsewhere chasing speculative stocks. Trend is also down. There is the AGM in June, unless there is anything left field we will be trading sideways as the BOT is in control - 110p to 130p next 4-5 months

The floor price is protected at $57, but the average selling price in Q1 was $63. I’m expecting Q2 & Q3 to be higher due to recent increase in poo.

Update a bit of a mixed bag, Ghana below par but problems now resolved, so hopefully better results Q2. Non operated assets performing better than expected. East Africa - no real change from previous news but hopefully should be further along to resolution in Uganda - taking forever!!

From the TLW update today, looking like late June I would say. Anyone know how long it would take the drill ship to travel from Ghana to Guyana for a more accurate timescale?

Transformational risk/reward: Eco and its partners have identified a total of 26 prospects across Tertiary and Cretaceous plays on the Orinduik block, with a gross mean unrisked resource base of more than 4bn bbl (Eco has a 15% interest). We estimate total unrisked value for Eco of c£5.6/share versus risked NAV of £1.1/share.

Hammerhead discovery could extend into Orinduik: Exxon will be appraising the discovery in Q2 2019, which should provide a volumetric estimate. The main question is whether the field extends into Orinduik. Seismic data suggest that it may. The start of negotiations between Stabroek and Orinduik partners about a potential monetisation plan would be a major catalyst for Eco.

For me I would ask if they intend to farm out Guyana. It doesn't look likely at this late stage which shows a lot of confidence. No farm out is counter to their normal strategy of late

Sankeys - there will be plenty to say before drilling as Hammerhead is being appraised as of now by two drill ships, results expected at the latest by mid July, but I’d expect we will know sooner.

Once we get closer to drilling this board will get busier and no doubt the crazies will arrive. Still around 2 months to go
