The Uganda government are a joke. Billions of oil resources discovered long before Kenya, yet the latter have already exported their first shipment.
Let’s hope that CNOOC and Total Farm into TLWs Guyana assets instead

Which idiot said this last year, mind you having bought back at 3p levels and sold some around 7p, it’s not been too bad.

Like many I sold a few pre results to derisk, but the market gave a gift by letting me buy back the ones I sold at 120p, couldn’t believe it went down to those levels!!

Despite Jethro coming in, TLW share price is impacted by the macro economics which haven’t been in our favour. Having said that, problems in Uganda and production below expectations haven’t helped. TLW need to get that debt down pdq.
Hopefully further success at Joe and Carapa will help, farming out a percentage of Orinduik will be massively important, selling off Uganda should be a priority.
But main thing, reduce the debt.

I’ll take ECO Namibia at 18p!! Pretty sure most on this board will as well. However, if one of the majors hit in the next few months, then we won’t get sub 20p.
However, what price that ECO will farm out Namibia before any drill starts or will they wait for oil to be hit

Let’s not forget our Namibian blocks. 3d seismic shot and paid for, drill ready. BP have said they will be exiting Alaska, and we know drilling in Namibian waters by other majors will start in the near future. They aren’t drilling one well, but will test their new found knowledge on multiple drilling programme over the next 2 years. I believe the majors have calibrated their data and unlocked the code

Yes far riskier, but let the majors derisk the plays. I see that Total using their super computer finally struck black gold in South Africa. Let’s see if they can hit in Namibia where others have failed.

Will TLW test 220p tomorrow? Higher than expected draw on API & WTI and Brent up a fair amount tonight.

The after hours huge buys demonstrates that someone is accumulating. QP, Total or someone else. I had expected the share price to drop once Joe spudded, but no, any weakness and the shares just get snapped up. Was looking to trade a portion in my fund account but leave the ones in my ISA. However, I may just leave them both alone.
Interesting to see what tomorrow brings.

Wow, is that a proper single trade? Nearly a million pounds. Will the share price March onwards or retrace after that now that it’s been filled

imho, if ECO decide to sell its Guyana asset separate to Namibia for a cash only deal, I think they will use a percentage for ongoing company funds and a percentage to pay a “special dividend” to existing share holders.
I would personally prefer a bid for the whole company in the event of a takeover, rather than just the Guyana asset. Depends I guess how a major views the Namibia blocks.
Another possibility could be splitting ECO into two companies, one for Guyana and one for other exploration (inc Namibia). But maybe that just complicates shareholding funds and valuations further?
