No, the real culprits are the IRGC and the Homicidal 'Stone Age' maniacs who have been occupying Persia for the last four and a half decades, whilst being directly responsible for financing 98% of the World's Terrorism (along with a side line 'hobby' of slaughtering their own people)!

This is long overdue, had to be done and only one President has had the balls to do it to date! (Unless you were OK with the billions in cash Obama and Biden were giving them - which no doubt directly financed terrorism - and a bunch of murderous Mullahs having a nuke!)

I'm down over £300k on paper since the beginning of the month and if I had to lose the lot in exchange for the removal of that regime, the Persian people getting their country & freedom back and finally Peace in the Middle East then I don't think that would be such a a bad trade-off!

If so then I stand corrected, however my point was (and still is) that it was a 'one off' situation and would not necessarily be repeated again with the GDX.

Not long now to find out either way!

No matter how many shares they need to obtain you can be damned sure they will be able to get all they want and without the sp being allowed to move much further north to any great extent!

The sizable rise at the time of the GDXJ, that people have been banging on about, was purely because they fcuked up their calculations in that specific instance.

After Hydro informed them of 'the error of their ways' they were left with a very small window within which to balance, which saw a mad rush towards the end of the trading day with the resultant sp increase (if my memory serves me correctly)!

I'd love to be wrong but I'm prepared to be disappointed tomorrow as I'm sure that they will have many different ways to be able to secure what they need and without paying 'through the nose' for them (as many hoped would be the case!)

Anyway not long to wait now and let's just see what happens!?

Unsuprised Doozer77. Have you seen photos of the employees that staff at the Foreign Office!

They are in Europe JoubertDuquense (the UK) and they are Christians (just like a large proportion of the Persian people are, as Christianity in Iran is one of the world's fastest-growing, yet heavily persecuted, faith movements) so they don't go around chanting 'death to America' (how many decades does that have to go on before the US is allowed to react!?) nor are they likely to blow themselves up in a crowded place (which is always a bonus!)

Some people still certainly appear to be 'blissfully unaware' of what is really going on in the world (and quite happy to continue sleepwalking toward their own destruction!) Doozer77.

I have a very good close friend (an intelligent and successful property investor in addition to being invested here) whose very apparent lack of awareness and understanding of all of the evil that is actually going on 'behind the scenes' globally at the moment is quite staggering! (Although he does still believe that what he's 'fed' by the BBC is the 'gospel truth', which might explain it!)
