Been here since July 2014.

Been down as much as £18k (in real money after Newmont walked away from EG citing 'not at this time' and feeling like sh 1t having 'spaffed away' a large part of my inhertitance from my late maternal Grandfather!) to being up by as much as just over £700k (in December 2019/Jan 2020 when with hindsight I should have sold up!)

Still we are where we are now and my only real fears currently are:-

1) Being forced to sell at a low price (prior to any sp recovery) because I may soon need the money (Unless SAR deliver!?)

2) Being taken out 'on the cheap' as I have always felt will be the case (and prior to Havieron coming online - as per Shanta Gold) and which will IMO prove eventually to have always been the plan! (Newcrest tried and failed and SB paid for it with his job, but the next attempt will be far more astute, and my money is still on Wyloo?!)

As always time will tell and it's certainly been hard going these last 5 years (and in some ways I'll be glad when it's all finally over, one way or the other!)

Well I've been invested here since 2014 and am still 84% down so won't be holding my breath (wrote this off years ago!)

In my past life as Head of Marketing at a private pension provider one of the first things I did after starting with the company was call in our London PR Firm for a meeting (as it was abundantly clear they had done absolutely 'eff all' for their monthly retainer for many years!).

They sent down 'the big guns' as I think that they suspected that the 'writing was on the wall' (and they were damned right!!!)

Many of these firms are a total waste of time (as in my role at the previous company I had just left I generated the equivalent of £800k worth of free advertising over a 24 month period through merely writing Press Releases myself and forwarding them on to a list of financial press contacts).

I'd sooner take the ''Cheeto Fuhrer'' over the abject sack of sh 1t currently squatting in 10 Downing Street any day!!

always believed (and have previously stated, only to be met with insults) that we will be 'relieved' of our holdings in ggp before havieron comes on line (just like shanta gold share holders were)!

only time will tell, but still not convinced that this whole secenario as it appears to be playing out at the moment hasn't been the plan right from the start?

all we can do now is either ride it out or sell up, and having seen over £95k wiped off of my holding since monday it's now **** or bust for me! :-(

(my retirement hopes are now firmly pinned on sar finally coming good!)

Can't say I'm surprised as I've always feared that we loyal LTHs would get f8 cked over and 'robbed' of the full value of our investment (just like Shanta Gold shareholders were!) eventually at some point.

Nothing we can do now though as we are all mere 'passengers' on this journey moving forward, and to be honest if it's going to happen I'd rather it did so sooner rather than later now so that at least I'm still 'young' enough to enjoy whatever I eventually get out of my 11 plus years of being invested here!

However, I won't be selling any now (unless forced to) so will just wait and see how the 'cards fall'!

No I'm not, and whilst I appreciate your asking for my 'views', with my current track record in investments so far to date (everything other than GGP in my portfolio is a 'train wreck' and if it weren't for GGP I'd be screwed. Just got lucky with this one TBH!!) I am probably the very last person you should be asking!!

From memory wasn't Muammar Gaddafi trying to use a new currency to challenge the supremacy of the dollar, and utilise it (the gold dinar) to be expanded to more than just Libyan Oil?
