I feel like my long investment in Metro is a little shaky. The only positive outcome now will be a T/O or merger.

The industry has become over regulated for the challenger banks to stand a chance, a far cry from when Metro launched. The big investors are not interested in Niche small banks, so I was shocked by the strategy on results day.

They will want Metro to be as it is describe challenging and that's why they have come to the party I fear more and more of the big investors will move away as time goes by and I think this is why the shorters are moving back in and not getting out when the chance arises.

Hopefully something will be announced positive before the money moves away.

Let's hope for a good day tomorrow as I don't see the shorters leaving anytime soon

Banks are being hit in early trading

Think they are saving all the RNS for 27th February... next week is where the fun will happen

I decided to come back in today at 1.91 after getting almost all out at 2.30. I now own 2000 more shares than I did 6 months ago . Hope it was a good call, fingers crossed.

You have to admit Metro share dealing is an absolute dog. One moment you are up the next you are down.
It's really difficult at the moment but I do think the end game is nearly here. I think tomorrow will be another kicking but get set for a surge on Thirsday or Friday.

I just topped up too, made a bit on NMC yesterday and Barclays this morning but going to leave it now till the end game or long term if no JV/TO, still think not much will happen till March though.

I think the end game will come when noone expects it and we are all too tired to be bothered about it.

I said 6 months ago to ignore the noise until March and nothing has changed my view.

Expect a few dips and rises, but try and switch off... we are after all 17p up on where we were 2 weeks ago. Expect a return to 2 00 region possibly but hey that's Metro most of us have been a lot lower.

BOD need to take steps, we all know this was an old news story, but how many customers and prospective new customers see the headline and miss the detail. This kind of story damages the brand the company is trying to promote.

How many more old stories will circulate to derail until we have another fall in deposits and customers.
