RE: Why?14 Aug 2024 17:36
Metoo and PBow...DBW had an indication that it could be weeks...
Meanwhile I don't see any mention of an Environment Licence in the FNV deal.
It may be in the $650m small print but by that time FNV will have paid over $100m...for no return...? That would be a gamble even by their standards.
Meanwhile SOLG will be doing all this:
"SolGold plans to initiate the next phase of Project advancement immediately, focusing on geotechnical drilling of the tailings storage facility, additional metallurgical testing, reserves definition at the Tandayama-Ameríca deposit, hydroelectric power opportunities, plant location, and mine site design and layout, as well as securing necessary land access rights for infrastructure and commencing work on the FS."
But I continue to look at the bigger picture...
Noboa and his Ministries would look extremely stupid if, having loudly broadcast SOLG as the biggest of its flagship projects ($3.2 bn not $1.65bn), a civil servant withheld the Environmental Licence from one of the most ESG credible mining companies on the planet.
