All our shares are in ISAs; at 100p we would have made over a £1 million from SOLG alone...

That is entirely up to me. I'm not interested in empire building and whether I keep a holding in SOLG if the price is right will depend on reinvestment opportunities, of which I have plenty.

Finally, I was 72 yesterday and SOLG will; finance a portfolio of high yielding FTSE stocks that will provide me with an income for the rest of my life.

That is entirely my business; you have your own strategy.

In real terms at a Discount rate of 8% the share price has fallen almost 40% since its all time high on 26 May 2017...

And before anyone says that's because of dilution, that's EXACTLY my point...you're all going to vote for potentially massive dilution...

1 If one accepts that a bid is usually made at 35-60% above the VWAP...lets say 50% above, then I would rather have a price of 55p ASAP and a first bid of 80p than a first bid of 55p...

2 So are you saying that if you were offered 5x in the next few months you wouldn't take it...?

Come on rcg...first production is not before January 2026...which means the first results would not be before March 2027...

Are you really telling me you are happy to wait more than six years for a price which even then could be determined by a takeover bid...if SOLG remains independent that long they won't be paying any dividends much before the end of the 20s...

So are you her for capital gain or not...?

At a discount rate of 8% the NPV of a 200p share price in November 2029 is 100p now...

I'll leave an actuary to confirm that figure...

Getting the optimum price as quickly as possible and...

What I plan to reinvest in...

I'll take 100p now please with all the options I have right now for reinvestment rather than the incredible uncertainty over the next 9 years with a global economy in turmoil...

If its a plc, the most accurate assessment at a given time will be the market price at that time...if to wasn't't it would be higher or lower as people bought or sold...

Still chuckling Quady...so your case is that actuaries are best when a company is a basket case...is there something you know that we don't about SOLG...?

At the end of the day the best people at valuing a company are Mr & Mrs Market...simple supply and demand...or a determined bidder (and they usually end up overpaying...)

To put it simply, a 50% dilution would require a minimum 56p SP to keep you at the same value unless you bought more shares yourself to equalise...

How much more quickly could you get to 56p if we released all the pending news and, more to the point, how much more quickly if there was a sensible bid...

Apart from diluting as as below, he raised capital at 21.5 only 5 weeks after the SP was 29p and at 32p only 5 weeks after the SP was 43p...

Diluting BHP, NCM and CGP dilutes US as well!!!

2 His time horizon is at least five years from now...mine is in months...

When you put it in NPV terms, I would rather have 100p now than 200p in 5 years time, because there is my reinvestment to consider as well, while FTSE shares are still relatively cheap...

His reinvestment will be in DGR and a wealthy retirement to Brisbane...

I'm puzzled earnacrust...if you.ve been here that long, why on earth would you not have sold on the umpteen occasions the SP was in th 40s, for a 20 times multi bagger...?

I bought in at an adjusted average of 14p (originally 20p)...I've twice taken profits in the 40s and I'm still pretty much fully loaded...I just want to make as much money as is reasonable as quickly as possible, not be a timeserving voyeur admiring Mather's patience and fortitude...
