I believe the SP was artificially low yesterday given that the NAV was published at almost 60p on a day when Gold did quite well.

Was the SP being held back so that the Director could make his purchase at an advantageous rate?

The RNS states 50,000 at 46.25. That is BELOW the lowest priced bargain today which was a SALE at 46.40p

There is at the moment no bargain quoted at 46.25p today, but there is a 50,000 Buy at 8.03 at 46.75.

Is this an errror...?

Also on Sharug the page 3 table shows no drilling in 2021 but page 20 says:

"Drilling commenced in August 2021 at the Santa Martha copper-gold porphyry target as part of an initial six-hole programme testing extensive coincident surface geochemical and geophysical anomalies. Currently five holes have been drilled at the Santa Martha target for a total of 2,414m. Drill results are pending."

There's a mistake in the MD&A...

The table on page 4 (Figure 3) shows no drilling on Rio at all this year, but on page 19 it says:

"Drilling commenced in August 2021 at the Varela copper-gold porphyry target with the first drill hole recently completed and the rig has moved to the next drill pad. The first hole RDH-21-001 was stopped at 1,708m. This hole intersected strong potassic and intermediate argillic alteration with abundant B type veins with chalcopyrite, pyrite and molybdenum. Visible gold was also identified in places. Based on the alteration observed in the first hole the next hole has been situated to test a more central portion of the porphyry system at the Varela target."

Its in keeping with the Company Secretary being on contract and may well be to do with getting a CEO in place and then appoint the other key members of his team, i.e. CFO, CoSec, Head of HR...

Here's my take...

BHP want NM out, having led the charge at the last AGM and, like me, seeing him as having too much influence still...

So when LT said to me "do I put up NM on his own, or the whole Board?" I presume that came from BHP...

They made it unequivocally clear last year that they resented the FN deal and they are probably at least £40/50m down on their 'investment' under NM's steerage, so who can blame them...?

And while many of us on here bemoan not doing better, NCM and BHP may be collectively £60/70m or more down the pan on their 'strategic' investments...

They would have lost less in the Skipton Building Society for the last several years.

Is it wrong for them to want the Board to get their collective fingers out and start generating some shareholder value...?

With inflation at 4.7% they're losing £7/8 million a year in purchasing power terms between them...

Just bought another 20,000 so that when they at least double I can give the profits to my lovely sister who is recovering from ME...

As I've said all along addickt and based on my one to one with him, I believe it's a smokescreen..

In all my years of investing I've never seen anything like it...except CGPs barrage when Nick tried to take them over, despite failing abysmally the first time...

But then CGP is a Mickey mouse company anyhow...wild west comes to mind...

Frankly colonel I think you've lost the plot...

This isn't a version of Game of Thrones or Warhammer.

A guy who worked for BHP gets the job and suddenly BHP will take over the world...what rot!

He is only one of ten Directors. How many of the other nine have BHP connections.

They couldn't even appoint their chosen CEO because the 'old'Board blocked him. Which means Nick still has some sway.

And why would the Chaurman send a letter with a direct attack on BHP and then appoint a BHP stooge...you couldn't make it up...

There are FOUR independent Directors, thank God and they have some influence, viz the Alpala project Committee, the revised PFS, the massive CG changes, the ESG leadership, the close relationship with Lasso, etc...

We now have to choose. We have a CEO with consummate major project and contracting experience, to lead the development of Alpala alongside Ingo and to better engage with us shareholders than the mess the Chairman has made.

I still sadly expect that SOLG will succumb to a barrage of bids sooner than later, but once we have a credible mouthpiece keeping us updated in a measured way, the SP can begin to move forward again as investors gain confidence.

Like many I am now of a mind to take a decent offer and I believe that's the way NM wants to go.

I wont miss the daily grind on here or the thousand mornings waking up to share price torpor waiting for the spike that lifts my spirits.

We all will leave here richer, sadder, but no wiser...
