So let me be quite specific...they tried to raise capital through a new bank...the issue failed,,,the new bank has gone...Berry Street are unsurprisingly peed off at not being included in that fundraising so they've issued a statement which clarifies how stupid the attempt was.

And I say again...it is very likely that Ingo disagreed with the proposal and they parted ways. He's been on gardening leave for a while now...

Once again I am happy to be wrong but BSC's statement is a pretty damning condemnation of Darryl and the Board.

I'm now very clear why Ingo is no longer there....

As an investor in the Company, it has been very difficult to follow a great project being managed so poorly at the corporate level both before, and after, the publication of the Pre-Feasibility Study. If your 'back story' is correct, why issue the RNS at all...it doesn't add anything...

But where have you ever seen before a naked statement that a plc HAS to raise money...$100m wouldn't be far off the mark...it makes them a hostage to fortune.

If the City rumour is true and they have tried and failed once (probably at an unrealistic price and/or with the copper price below the price assumption in the PFS), then their NOMAD or the lead banker for a fresh attempt will have told them to 'kitchen sink' everything in that RNS...

And the SP of any issue has to be at a low enough price for the market to believe that, subject to the market in general, this is the bottom and you'll never see that price again which to my mind could even make 20/22p a tad optimistic.

No I'm not talking my book...I would be delighted to be wrong for all the investors like me who have waited 2,3,4,5,6 years or more for the holy grail.

Meanwhile I'm surprised that nobody picked up on Taunton's statement that construction at Alpala won't begin before 2024...

I have not knee jerked into this.

Remember I've drafted and published RNSs and read thousands.

In my opinion they are throwing in all the currently known information, but we should instead have had a carefully managed flow of drill results to keep people hungry.

This RNS nakedly says "we need the money...all at once..."

But at what price...and if the City rumours are true, who led the failed raise and why did Peel Hunt go.

Mathers...your logic is sound as always, but why oh why put out a rambling incoherent RNS FLAGGING an equity raise, where any good news such as Helipuerto is lost in the noise.

We should have had meaty, substantiated drilling news; a separate RNS about Helipuerto supported by sexy drilling results and assays....

And then a managed equity raise instead of this tosh which has left the company a hostage to fortune.

I would love to be wrong in m y timing if a bid obliterates all this.

This RNS is a car crash with obvious implications.

I think we're looking at a $100m raise.

Of course it could be designed to flush out a bid, but...

I've sent a long and scathing comment to the Company.

In a four year car crash of RNS ineptitude this is one of the worst...

Yes they'll get a raise away...

Yes the Nomad will try to support the SP...

Then the SP will slip back after the raise...

AIMO of course but I've sold another 300,000 today...

Utterly inept and it is my opinion that Ingo has gone because he didn't agree with what was going on...a prospective equity raise by a CEO and CFO who have no idea whatsoever about managing London markets...

There is already word in the City that SOLG has tried and failed with an equity raise...also a rumour yesterday that Peel Hunt have gone....says it all really...!

Ingo wouldn't have let a rambling RNS like this, full of innuendo, go out...

We can assume an equity raise...with all the fluff and courting of major investors, they will participate...

At 30% they would have to state whether they intend to make a bid...3% short of that...

So from their point of view I see a 51% stake in Cascabel as preferable pro tem at least...but then why not bid for the whole ball of wax...?
