Approx 170m barrels to 1tcf. Any buyout is usually priced at around $5 per barrel (usually 10% barrel worth). Easy enough calculation to do. But it MUST be proven resources (which is what we are currently going through (118m + 3.2tcf))
That's before you look at the wider B12....
All my own opinion. Feel free to tell me how wrong i am.
Yes but it would be announced interest and offer beforehand. Ie sky/fox/comcast etc.
It's an interesting one... You calculate the worth of the resources both in full and in terms of a buyout. One number is unbelievable and the other just seems impossible - and then you decide to say well what if it's only 10% of that, and you still don't believe it.... I do get the feeling that they are proving up to try and sell part of, or all of the block.
I find some spare money and despite my trepidation i buy more shares in here... Come on Zaza! I would love nothing more than to be able to take extended time off when my first born arrives in September!
Same average as me. Can't afford to average down anymore and don't feel comfortable enough selling elsewhere.
I think quite a lot of investors are feeling similar. July could be the month where news is needed or people will jump.
I think you're right there Timster. If they are paying cash then it will not need to be RNS'd else everytime money is spent it would have to be RNS'd. Only if they are releasing shares would it have to be put out there. So it could suggest that the company has the cash available to pay them off - for now.
IE no longer has anything to do with this share....
Is the month IMO... Directors shares are no longer frozen... Extended tests all finish... Coincidence? Maybe.
Vid was taken in West Kazakhstan as confirmed by poster of the vid on FB :(
Made a cup of tea this morning. Got back to my desk, took the lid off... I've left the tea bag in there, not put any milk or sugar in either.... I'm supposed to re-write some code for some analysis today - probably not a good idea.
Then i apologise. Bad start to the day for me at work...
Do you genuinely believe they would throw out a deal just because someone posted that pic? Where's the logic in losing out on potential £b's just because of that?! Please show me a company that has thrown away a potential £bn opportunity for that reason...
It would make sense and would not at all be a surprise to find majors have been looking around and have been invited to the sites etc. Finding pictures of them doesn't mean anything at all until a bid materialises. As it stands there is no bid. If there was we would know. What is positive is the fact that they are interested in taking a look, but it doesn't mean anything at the moment. I will continue to hold and potentially build my holding when i can.
Anything definitive expected on that date?
Saipem is an Italian oil and gas industry contractor. It was a subsidiary of Italian energy company Eni, which owned approximately 30% of Saipem's shares until 2016.
eni insight as to your thoughts?
Again - it's all based on pictures etc and hearsay. Nothing to make you make investment decisions.
It makes sense that big oil would visit the sites etc... Don't we also know Exxon have visited and that BP have been in the data room? It would make sense that other big players would want to come and have a look... Doesn't mean anything will happen, just that there's interest...
extended tests between 60 and 90 days and then they go back and perforate zone 9 and comine the flows... so will still be a while before full flow rates.
