As I believe BHP will be a partner with Solgold, that’s is the guarantor. A business with clout and bank balance and not all in one basket or geological area of the world.
You are adamant in your beliefs which is fair play, I’m adamant in mine, won’t clog the board up with this, so we will see.

Quady, I do disagree with you that Solgold will take this on alone, regardless of fantastic deposits which are in the ground, there’s the rub, still in the ground.
If Solgold wish to borrow money it’s going to cost, the only security if things went wrong is deposits in the ground. Where as BHP are really besides just being a good partner, they are like a guarantor, a business with a bank balance.
Not sure why you are so adamant Nick can do it all on his own, he has to put a face on so they don’t take the mick, there comes a point imo that reality will prevail here, you have to cover what you want with guarantees, it’s business and it’s costly

How can you criticise NM when you do not know what the so called opposition have or are doing?
We don’t not know the whole picture except for snippets, social media can be good, but more often than not it’s a curse.

Nick has more pressing concerns than this CGP thing, he is building solid fortress walls around Mathers mines. As he impressed on us all, as an explorer it’s too explore the hell out of all they have as quick as they can. Any bid be it hostile or friendly will take time, he is using what time he has got too make this a major headache to all.

I really do believe we need a JV with BHP, the costs flowing out from Solgold is quite large at the moment, how many drilling teams? How many geologists? How much support is needed for these people to get around, setting up sites, canteens and power.
You then have mine to provide mine access to these areas, water, power and infrastructure there in place to even think of beginning, this while still firming up and paying wages etc.
If Nick does not have access to a billion or so then a JV it will be, he is clever but in life real miracles not common

Smickster, I believe a JV with BHP will benefit both, they compliment each other in many ways, BHP will concentrate on Alpala keeping Franco happy. Meanwhile Solgold to firm up other areas which will benefit both parties, believe there’s a chance they may have spoken to Franco about Blanca, gold will return money quicker there, money lenders piles seem to contract when there’s early repayments to come
