Reading about valuestone, they like to invest up to 40million in certain projects, so I believe it’s just a good call by them knowing others have much more invested here, therefore their investment is as secure as it can be without too much skin in too loose

Some posters do put a smile on your face, been having a few sherbets and thought I would look in, the board in general is light hearted and quite entertaining, just now and then a gem is posted.

Quady, I still disagree with your opinion.
NM has to be seen as strong and determined, which he is in many ways, but to believe he can hold onto this massive animal is more of his dream than reality in my opinion.
BHP has to be his best chance of a JV with a good company, if he does not go with them then Solgold will be bought out, all the news in Ecuador is as good as you can get, there must be many majors trying to get an angle on how to get this for their future resources.
To borrow money for the length of time needed to get things up and running would cost a considerable sum, also at a higher rate as they have nothing except what’s in the ground, as I mentioned before there is the rub, if something goes wrong how do lenders get their money back? It’s not as clear cut as your putting it, JV with BHP who have been clearing old debts, stopping spending damn money, selling some bits off, why? Because if they need too they can borrow money at a much lower cost have the ability to furnish their debts.
Solgold have done fantastically well, but it’s too big of an animal for just one company.

It’s been an absolute pleasure reading the boards opinions on Solgolds options, all replies and debates in a really coherent and respectful manner.
Nice to see others views on possible scenarios, from firm beliefs to not so sure.
This also opened up a few different avenues the company could take according to a few, all of valid interest.
The next few weeks are going to keep changing hopefully for the better for us, no doubt so will our opinions on where it is going again, be nice to keep reading peoples updated opinions and why.

What I am saying about the purchase of CGP would be letting them sell before they are due to pay towards capex, if you are a company with extremely poor finances you would consider this saving very carefully.
Agree all has to be funded but all would be already calculated in.
Still of a very strong belief in a BHP JV with Solgold myself, Nicks not going without a fight, we shall see

That’s true, but as an investor you like to do some forward thinking about your investments, long term held shares and are they worth it, possible outcomes.
Speculation on what evidence you have complimented by your own understanding of how things may pan out is all part of it, anyway as you say let the board have their say if they feel so inclined

I hear what you say but, you keep referring to no one has made an offer or in talks with CGP, this is your opinion which your entitled too, but it doesn’t make it right.
BHP will know all what you have put and much more, why do you mention future debts of CGP if they are bought out by BHP if they end up owning the mine?

Too suggest no one is interested to me does not make sense with respect, holding a percentage in a company with a find like Alpala has to be of interest, how you go about taking that percentage is open to debate, but cannot be ignored.

BHP would have made an offer too the CGP board with clauses stating strict confidentiality, knowing should anything be divulged it would end the offer, CGP are in a cash crisis.
They are not in a great position so take the money and run, CGP have debts to furnish from where?

I think BHP may have made an offer to CGP and waiting on a reply, BHP may also be in talks/offers with other holders, I say this because leaving the door open too long gives the other contenders time to manipulate... small holders even governments if it’s worth it. Don’t want to be trumped with sanctions, USA companies come first like Tesla, they are not above this in my own opinion.

Would be interesting if BHP does something like Solgold tried with CGP, 1 BHP share for so many Solgold shares, I would go for that, pure speculation but not impossible.
