The reason why Mongolia is poor is simply, corruption.

They should impose Chinese rules on corruption. Heavy penalty if found guilty. It worked for china.

Investor33. I follow other companies in Mongolia, I have found that other companies started after PM and they have found gas and are now selling their product. They did not go through all these procedures or were held back.

The talks to access to facilities of PC has been going on for more than 5 years. Why would this take so long. There is no reason for delay. The government should be dictating as they are a shareholder in the PSC .

The governor has no control over PC. They have been breaking laws and no powers can stop them. Why. Lot of politicians are against PC too..

My opinion is PC is the reason this has been delayed.i can not find any other reason.

Remember Heron field is in middle of Nowhere. How did locals know PM was drilling heron. It's hard for the locals to find out unless someone has opened their mouth. Use Google maps and you will see how far it is from the Matad town.

Government has been dragging their feet to get a land access. They first said get exploration licence took a year.

They said get cabinet approval. Took another year.

They said pay this agency. No pay another agency. No wait pay yourself. Unbelievable..

After 2 /3 years of going to various agencies we are back to square 1.

It's like playing snakes and ladders. Just when you get to the end you are at the start again.

Jimi. It's just my opinion. Someone is holding PM back. it points fingers towards PC and the government. Governor is an excuse IMO .

Governor should not have that much power to hold a special project back. Like I said rail and pipeline project was dictated . A letter was sent to the governor demanding the land for special purpose.

If I can find it I will post it. Do you remember last year when I posted it and SP shot up. That is what PM needs a letter demanding the Land access for special purpose needs.

pm should distance itself from pc to get locals on their side.

remember land was taken as special purpose for the pipeline by dictating . same should happen to block 20. they haven't done it.

Just think about it. PM has been send from pillar to post. The government has an agenda. Are the Chinese paying someone to hold this projects back.

This is how I see it. IMO PC has most likely got something to with this delay.

We were given a go ahead in 2019 when half way the drill was stopped.

block 20 PSC was coming to an end . Luckily we found oil. If no oil was found block 20 would've been PCs.

Remember MB saying PC didn't develop near block 20 because PC didn't want PM to find out.

PC still hasn't signed nor has DQE signed any paperwork.

Locals do not want PC at all. Read some of the comments on Facebook.

IMO DQE deal is off and PM is most likely going on it's own. That's probably the reason why PM has had district approval.

Just my Options

The government is the real problem IMO. They are most likely controlling the governors decisions. He supports the prime minister. He is from the same party.

They sent letters out last year when they wanted the land for railway and pipeline in Dorno province. Dictating the governor regarding the land use for special needs. Why can't they do the same for PM.

MB should start looking in to legal process and inform the Mongolian government of PMs intentions if land issue is not resolved

What has happened here. I almost invested more money here few weeks back expecting a steady rise for the planned 2024 drilling

The local district are backing PM so hopefully we should be pumping oil soon.

Do we still need the governor to give his signature for the non overlapping area.
