Maybe look a bit closer at OMI then as it has 2 majors Agnico and Newmont giving it a free carry on Anza and it’s cap is only £41m.

I’m not sure if them having inside knowledge of what is going on on the ground makes a difference. As Brad says his hands are tied as when he gets a call on the ground saying we have another good result he technically could be guilty of insider trading. But maybe following results given to the market there is a window that allows them to load up.

The issue they have is OMI are well funded with no debt so Agnico would have to buy on the open market or offer to buy a set amount at premium.

Rerating continues. The sp does move quick due to the low number of shares in issue so those wanting a sizeable holding have to work on it to get orders filled.

Personally I’m expecting Agnico to take a major position in OMI to match Newmont and follow their usual support in their interests.

This is starting to resemble how GGP reacted when they started getting Newcrest results through. The dream is becoming a reality. Long steady rerate probably in the cards.

First JV’s lined up

No negatives here other then people being blind to the fact the cap here has long long legs.

It feels that the market now has something tangible to hold OMI stock for. Before now it was more speculative but it seems much more derisked. In fact it is derisked according to Brad. Read between the lines on that.

The majors are happy and he has pretty much no doubt they will carry on to phase 2.

Newmont and Agnico splashing out 30m and providing all the best tech, equipment and an 80 person strong team on the ground.

Incredibly at no cost to OMI who are due a further 4m cash for the privilege also.

The latest results gives the market a bit of juice to lap up. The majors are very happy and have spread operations further afield once again. They like what they are finding.

I like that one of the five rigs is being left behind at apta to continue infill drilling mapping out targets more precisely.
