There was talk of a fund raising / rights issue / material contract / balance sheet review which caused the dip below £2. FWIW I intend to weather and trade any short term volatility to reduce my average cost. For me this is a LT hold once the kitchen sink has been thrown at it.

I prusume they was anticipating that they can reshort as a higher price and saw limited downside from here. All positive. Just what level to rebuy at. So tempted my this mesmerising stock but happy to hold and buy on further dips. It does seem strange that the closing of the short did not have a massive upside. Any suggestions as to why?

I guess it is hard to read a positive into the accounts delay.
Is it to include an agreed settlement and its impact and finally put to bed the issue?
Are the auditors insisting the inclusion of a contingenct liability?
Have forecasts been cut again?
Who knows. The price is like an elastic band some days.
The company will still be here in 12 months time.

Brokers are like a stopped clock (right twice a day). Their notes may be right at some point but the timing is never mentioned. If the price gets below 145p, say over the next 6 months then they are right. If not they will issue another note for to add / overweight etc. The RNS on 25th & 26th January suggests that the buyers have a different ST viewpoint. There may be a rights issue so of course the share price may be diluted. Equally when the uncertainty is cleared out it may soar. Cue the Barclays note rissue then. No matter what happens it is good trading and the volatility makes averaging down possible if the timing is right. GLA. DYOR.

IMO - ST blip and buying / averaging down opportunity. I topped up as I see LT value in the SP. Brokers like this stock.
Results due to drop on 25th February following the positive trading update in Nov which rallied the stock toward 530p IIRC.
One of the few comanies paying a healthy dividend currently. Likely to pay a final dividend of 13.8p.

1st post - I never post but I couldn't agree more with your analysis. I have traded this company 6 years plus and have averaged down to owning a core 15k shares that have cost me less than £1 average plus dividend income along the way on top. I buy on dips and average down picking up more each time. When the price is against my recent purchase I just ignore it as it has increased my average cost temporarily while the dip recovers. Over the next 6 months it may be £7+ or £5 but the trade is there to take. Good luck to all who bought the recent dips and I trust they will turn around the position positively in time. DYOR - but it works for me.
