Days like today throw up buying opportunities Throne. For every seller there is a buyer so I guess 50% consider it a buy at the moment.

Depends on the risk appetite that one has.

without mentioning any names is it really that hard to believe in a diverse portfolio shares go in different directions daily by maybe 6% or more in many cases and that this creates opporunities to buy low and sell high by additional tranches being bought as prices fall and being sold as prices recover?

In years that the marks move up in the 1st week, typically they move 11%- 23% + by year end.

Marstons will be back to 70p+ if so.

never too late to reduce you average at these levels. I see £1 - £1.20p achievable and much higher given time - or a BID !

sitting with 82k of these bad boys was hoping to top up to 100k but did not reach my buy limits. I am wanting a dividend to return and the consensus eps 2023 and 2024 seems to allow it if they prove to be right is the 9p+ and 11p is to come to fruition.

sometimes you have to go with your gut..... even when wrenched like today.

I notice MAB has now hit 160p of the 99p October low. I got some sub 110p and endured the hit for a short time and now blue skies and lightening up my holding.

Rollercoasters like shares are full of sudden lurches up or down. DLG is just another one.

When you feel wretched BUY BUY BUY !

What works for me may not work for you. I trim add and average down. Not for everyone.

Not BS - as many know here I trim my holdings to lower my average cost. The figures I posted are what happened as were the 315p sales on the spike in March 2021 and my sub 180p purchases in September last year.

Not to mention the dividends scalped along the way.

Oh and my 164p 167p and 170p purchases today are currently profitable.

Don't call BS in ignorance as it is not a nice trait.

Underprice? My premium with DLG soared as did Churchill - they would not price match so I moved away.

Better to try to stick to higher margins as long at it does not deter customers. I moved 3 policies in the year to Admiral.

The cold weather excuse does not wash with me.

Great entry at 163/4p and add if lower as eventually it will come back as you lower the average.

I note the implied no final dividend - a bit unsure as to why they did not just say there will instead. PR management of a glimmer of a reduced dividend.

This company is a gem - caught in a malaise but building a base for better growth when the headwinds in the ecomony improve. Taking longer than previously thought with inflation a spanner.

Sound company and would not put it past Coveney to engineer a fit with SSPG over time.

Anecdotally it seems that company is increasng market share.

I remember trading good old MGN and did not realised this was owned by Reach.

the circulations seem sound so presumably it will end with a bid or a recovery.
