Having raised as FCA issue a few years back, a clear case of a denied life insurance claim the complaint was submitted and immediately handed to an FCA assessor to proceed. Every few months an auto email returned saying you were not forgotten about and to be patient you were moving up a queue. 1 year later, no change and still live. Eventually I contacted the directors of the bank directly and found empathy and a full resolution 2 years post the death. I still received FCA auto updates about the now resolved case they still had not started to process. In the end I advised the FCA that it was sorted to stop the auto emails.
Staff all friendly but caseloads go nowhere except at a snail's pace.
