I agree with ben1093 about background seller

Yesterday's volume (nearly 5m) was far higher that a usual day (1m or probably 500k), there was plenty appetite for buying, hence it gave the seller chance to really sell bigger amounts than previously had

The seller we have here isn't a distressed seller, so they won't just offload and not care what they get for them, the background seller here has only sold when time was right for them

Aside from FDA and WHO approvals, sales and marketing is now the big thing for us here

I think big orders early would be incredible, but getting our name in the media and all that would not go a miss at all

Especially when we are selling, as every other bit of media coverage seems to be about what might be coming

Well if max capacity (in my hypothetical example) is 240,000 per day so 1,680,000 per week, just think if the revenue

Scale it back for not running 24 hours a day, for various reasons, hell even scaled it back to 50% of max capacity for this example

Still 840,000 per week, now imagine £8 per test...

One way of looking at it

We have enough ingredients at the moment for 6 million tests, and remember that is what we have readily sourced before the test was even CE marked and ready to sell

So, based on the shoddy broker note of £1.5m revenue per week, even if you used the lower £8 per test figure, that would be 187,500 tests sold per week

But we already have ingredients to produce 6 million tests, we ain't waiting 32 weeks to sell them, before then repeating the process

However which way you look at it, broker note is not worth paper it is written on

we know BGF already got rid of 1.8m, as per rns on 20th, they subscribed for 1.5m the placing

calculus sold 0.7m as per rns on 7th and 13th - we dont know yet if they were part of placing

today, getting on for 5m traded, wonder how much of that was big selling by calculus and anyone maybe part of placing

i would not be surprised if genedrive only ever offered the current institution holders the placing shares, at least the majority of the 8.75m shares, therefore those currently selling are still potentially keeping their underlying position fairly similar

the suggestion that random institutions, who have never supported gdr in the past, have been able to rip off gdr via the placing, i dont believe that to be the case

but as already mentioned, we will find out details this coming week

tils, market cap £154m, the only thing it has ever sold is new shares, keep losing £7-8m a year, you will have to keep raising money to do that, filing for patents and doing studies dont bring income in

if an institution wants to sell a big amount, i expect they go to broker and say ive got 1m to sell, then for example someone like peel will step in and take control of selling that 1m as best as they can for the top price, and peel will take their cut, and maybe the broker if there is the middle man

but obviously peel being the market maker they will be able to squeeze out top value, not like us private investors hitting sell when we think it is best

so then next question to ask is why is an institution selling, is the company in trouble, well GDR have just announced CE mark and sales coming soon, so probably not because of company trouble

so, is the institution selling for another reason, for example forward selling placing shares, or simply selling because they are in profit after holding at a loss for years, take calculus who manage client funds via complicated products, they would have been holding when GDR was 7p, calculus will make their money from client fees, so while somewhat related to investment performance (because nobody is going to calculus if they always pick bad stocks lol), but their business model is not same as us private investors in the way we go about trying to make a few quid

so i hardly think its a 9 to 5 job and no weekends, thus the manufacturing equipment will do as much as it can, if there are sales to be made, you pay staff to working evenings and weekends

i would not read too much into it

we have been told enough raw material for 6m tests so far, so at £10 a test that is £6m a month revenue, roughly £1.5m a week

at best its not even a fag packet calculation

i expect numbers to be far higher

and another 50k at £1.85 - 2.24pm today

there are also limitations on when the loan notes can be converted, the share price has to close for 20 consecutive days above like about x1.2 the conversion price

plus the loan notes which were taken out years ago, their terms do not expire until 2021 at the earliest, most are far later, therefore i dont think it is for certain that GHIF or BGF can suddenly turn round and convert at will

both have been long term funders of GDR and we know BGF just made plenty on the recent placing too

shocker a bit of fundamental reading if you like, the threshold of 5% you mention is 3%
