A lot might depend on how quickly/ slowly the SweetBiotix products can be brought to market. As far as sugar substitutes in drinks are concerned, that would include testing of any drinks with SweetBiotix in. Which could be years away. Though, as I understand it. some companies have been working with us. (Ex DSM/ F and the unnamed US partner) *

It might be more likely, though still nowhere near imminent, that a SweetBiotix sweetener for tea/ coffee might be easier to get to market.

* This has led to a formal agreement with a USA partner and DSM Firmenich, a $12bn ingredients supplier, and several food and beverage companies supporting SweetBiotix development with a view to the use of SweetBiotix in their products.

Slowwww progress. But hopefully something more tangible next year.

It's not so much the new deals, though the more the merrier! It's accumulating revenue by keeping the old accounts going too. Opti has loosely been one old deal out for every new one in. Margins obviously important and keep costs in check, though staff took a 20% cut a year or two back.

Think last accounts said 10 staff, 5 directors and 5 employees. Not sure how much overlap there is there. Eg SOH.

Hard to take that seriously.

One of the directors, S Kolida had her options renewed in a half yearly or fy update. They would be triggered by a £100k / year deal for SweetBiotix.

Is there a parallel with PBX here? There was very little communication for a while and the SP dropped to 3p ish. Then about 25% of the company was snapped up. There was some talk of it going private.

Here at SBTX, between DB and MD they have a sizeable %age. The latter benefitting from a depressed SP due to lack of communication.

I believe PBX is nearly profitable, though the SP is sliding. Surprisingly to me. As the company seems to be going from strength to strength. Good, regular communication has been restored.

Could SBTX be taken private? Will positive comments come out before this might happen?

PBX has moved to the Apex segment of Aquis exchange. Could this provide more liquidity and slightly more attraction to potential shareholders?

Perhaps they're hoping people will sit on the pedestal and catch sight of the products?

When?

It always sounds promising when deals are done with Indian companies. But have Umesh Modi led SBTX down the garden path, in a similar way to which Dr Morepen may have done with Opti? Forecasting dramatically growing sales on an eg 5 year horizon. However, I see no motive for the Indian companies to do this, as if their own targets aren't even close to being hit, it is a poor use of funds on all sides.
