Trat Thanks for posting. So WW says NF is still looking for funding. Our Feb RNS says,
"On 12 October 2022, the Company announced that, following many months of delay due to a combination of local forest fires, pandemic-related challenges in labour and supply chain and the ensuing need to re-finance the project to address delays, NFCP had entered into an agreement for financial restructuring with the project lenders towards full funding of the project up to the commercial operations date ("COD") of the North Fork, California plant. It further revealed that the third-party funding had been agreed through pre-negotiated, Chapter 11 bankruptcy arrangements. The restructure project finance has enabled work to restart at the site and the Company anticipates that NFCP will reach COD later in 2023. Three of the Company's executive directors will be on site there in February, toward development of the plan for both technical and business readiness of the plant."
So is NF funded or not? Sorry if it's obvious.
Thanks for posting. Very interesting and hopefully (all fingers crossed), Opti will benefit from this trend, eventually.
PS: currently 5p to sell.
Andrew, I would agree with that. Though haven't checked today's PBX SP. No debt, in fact cash from listing. The jewel in Opti's crown for me.
Looks like Steen has been brought in to boost sales prior to sell off. For which he has previous. Though I would be disappointed to have to sell my small holding of shares, in any future takeover.
Croq, thanks for info.
The FY 22 figures will be a serious bump in the road. Not just Friday release, but coronation weekend. However, with the recent positive news coming out, let's hope these announcements bear real fruit, and we finally get some evidence of cash coming in.
G Strangl (Phoenix Energy) ref in this LinkedIn comment re NF, etc.
"Great story follows about vision, perseverance and remaining focused on a worthwhile objective despite countless obstacles since 2016.
Phoenix Energy's Northfork Community Power project is on track for commissioning and commercial operation in late 2023. More years than I care to think about however Greg Stangl never gives up...
We are thrilled to be part of Greg's vision and plan to reduce California wildfire risk while producing low Carbon electricity and biochar!
Northeast - Western Energy Systems has two INNIO Group Jenbacher JGS 612's producing 1984 kWe off EQTEC plc's gasification process. Woody waste from California into low carbon electric power and biochar completes a low carbon solution while reducing California wildfire potential. Commercial operation is in line of sight!!!
Phoenix Energy's Blue Mountain project is pending U.S. Forest Service support and final capitalization. Two more INNIO Group Jenbacher JMS 620's; 4000 kW from California forestry wood waste reduces wildfire risk and provides much needed low carbon electricity for California. "
AustinT, I haven't. But he has been good enough to reply to a couple of emails before.

According to René's LinkedIn profile, it seems he was involved in other things, whilst at Opti? Do others get same impression?

I took René's replacement as possibly cost saving. Steen moved in at PBX, SOH moved full time to Opti?
As far as SOH is concerned, he occasionally mentions selling a previous company too cheaply. (Or something akin). If I have remembered this correctly, he could be over - compensating (to say the very least!!) when taking so long to do deals here?

At least SBTX have today published unaudited FY 22 figures. Opti need to get their finger out, in this respect.
Some very pointed and pertinent questions from Tom W (proactive i/v). Especially the segment with DP from 3.30 in. On the subject of the fundraise, he asked "was this a distressed raid". DP said, among other things, that whole market was distressed. And important to protect balance sheet.
