Scot. If the lateral is the shallowest, they have to build angle all the way. They can not just kick off at 90 degrees where they want. That is impossible. So the shallow one is at 7500 feet? I do not know. That also means there will be casing there. They will have to cut a casing window to do that. Getting very complicated. 500 feet per day can be done depending on rock type. They have to drill this directionally.
They could drill to the first zone and go horizontal and test. Cement and then run casing over it and drill the rest. That is what I would do. Remember to go horizontal they need a 80 degree angle before. So build angle for 7000 feet at a nice steady 1 .2 degrees per 100 feet. 12 degrees per thousand feet. That gets them to the right angle for the lateral.
If they are going to drill it all to TVD and then test bottom up like I said they will have to test each zone on the way up. There will be casing there.
My first choice would be drill and test the lateral on the horizontal. Cement and run casing Past it . We shall see.
I have no idea as I have not seen the drilling programme.

Could take longer now I think about it. The 10, 000 feet Is TVD. True Vertical depth. If they are going horizontal They will have to build angle from say 500 feet and keep building angle all the way. I have no idea of the well design and which zone is the one For the horizontal. I presume it will be the bottom one!

First thing they have to do is set up the generators. All connected to one another. Next thing set up the camp. Accommodation and mess hall. Water supply for all. Diesel available and pumpable depending on how cold it is. Then start building the rig.
They will have a map for where everything is placed to within feet. Lines connected and power and water main priority to accommodation for 70 people. Showers, water. Landry, Offices set up 4 minimum. Satellite system for internet.
Keep enough diesel on site and fresh water.
Build the rig and pick up pipe for derrick about 10. 000 feet. Drill a conductor top hole. Cement and then the fun begins
I reckon 10 days from here to spud.

Stocktrade is moving in January. Embark is taking over. Scottish Widows have been fine with me. Stocktrade was also fine.
