The liner hanger will be set at above the surface casing shoe. The liner will have been run to depth and cemented. Remember they had a sump area at bottom. All they needed to cement the liner was a few hundred feet and leave the whole area above for testing from the bottom up!!! Tony and the guys will have worked out that cement job not to interfere with the perforating I would think. When they get back on the well run wireline and do a cement bond log to find where the top of cement is. Should be deep but does not matter. Will not be high though. Can perforate through cement if need be once completion is in and packer set.

Run completion and tubing hanger, Set the packer at about 4000 feet and can test all the formations back to that depth. Sealing off each test with cement and a plug. No reason they can not test everything. This is so well planned I can not believe it. I wish I was there David!!! LOL

Do not know why the price drop!! From what I can figure out they set casing at 3500 feet. They has a LEAK OFF TEST which must have been exceptional as they drilled all the way to the bottom. Going through oil and gas zones all the way. Weighing up the mud. So basically drilled 6000 feet of open hole on unknown pressures. The perfect well. Any low pressure zone and they would have been in trouble. TONY played a blinder. They will have set a liner to bottom and then suspended the well waiting on data. They have the data. Run the completion and start to test from the bottom up. They only ran surface casing and a liner. Cheap as chips if you can drill a well that way. Never heard of it or seen it done. Tony superstar and the BOD for letting him do it!!!

The more I look into this. This is a well as said by others that is crazy. Managed to drill all oil bearing for 2000 feet. No kicks. Perfect drilling. Increase mud weight on the way and maintain MAASP. Never seen or heard of that in my life. That is crazy stuff and took a lot of balls.

This should be motoring now. Run the completion. They can then get rid of the Nabors rig. Wireline or workover rig in to provide some protection from the cold. OR keep the rig and use it to perforate long perforation strings. As in many feet at a time> They know what they are doing!!!

Hot stacked so every day the equipment is run probably a few times. Skeleton crew as in driller electrician and mechanic on rig 24.7 Switch generators every day to make sure they are all working. Run the rotary table and draworks with blocks running up and down. Easy enough. They will have a set of things to do every day.

They have the logging results in front of them weeks ago. The cuttings should have been evident by now. Enough geologists on site to look at them. Coring should be through the lab by now.

A definitive completion and perforation plan will be in place shortly I hope. Rig is ready to go as it is hot stacked.
