For those who have decided to hold, I admire your balls. Technically this is NOT big news. If I was holding in a bubble of just me, I would have continued to hold, but this is classic game theory and when you know sells are coming you just have to follow them: the old riding the wave rather 5han catching the falling knife. There is no shadow of a doubt that this news will get overplayed. Canadians, shorters, and some accountant who wants a new diamind 3ncrusted vibrator for his wife all have nothing to do with the success of a company but sadly they do have an affect on the share price. Without a good-news RNS and memories of last year I have too much worry about the share price until it drops a lot more. I'm gonna take a stab at it bottoming at 180ish. Certainly if it hits there I'll be back here with aplomb

Im sure there are a lot of day shorters who will be closing their position at 4pm onwards so it might be a good time to get a bounce there, just don't know what tomorrow morning will bring when this news has time to settle in overnight

Lol lloyds is on my radar too. If anyone is interested I am currently following: IQE, LLOY, IMM, APH, SOPH, SXX, KOOV, and SOS as well as alphabet and amazon in the US. I'm expecting big things from the Google Pixel 3 so am following alphabet particularly. The exchange rate is putting me off at the moment.

There is nothing bad in the reports and I certainly haven't mentioned them myself. There is only one bit of bad news here. Maybe you aren;t familiar with the drop last year or weren't around to experience it. As you said yourself Damo, you have a small holding here - some of us have life changing sums. I made the ultimate error of over exposing myself to a single stock which means I have to act urgently and fatally on news such as this. I still love boohoo and its fundamentals, I think you holders WILL be rewarded, I just can't know it for a fact and cant risk so much money after this news. I will rejoin 10k at a time when the time is right. If sub 200 never comes then i'll hold my hands up and say "I panicked and I've missed out" and you can personally say "I told you so". Ill still be happy knowing I made the right choice given the facts at the time and my exposure.

Gramma, that would be the best use of their stockpile in my opinion and we could well see that this year. Would be slightly confused if that happened though as you would expect the CFO to know about the murmurings of that and you would expect it to be received positively by the market

With respect, thats nonsense, there is still an opportunity cost involved in selling. "Free" money is worth exactly the same as money earned and no one would rush into a sell if the felt there was a short term (or even mid term) rise to come

With PLT having a greater stronghold in the US dream of a market, I would question that too, though I think it would only be positive for the share price to focus on PLT>boohoo, if there even had to be a choice. 66% of the pacific ocean is better than 100% of the north sea

Nice small bounce so far, remember there will be day traders who shorted this early on and will have to buy back before close of play today so there will very likely be a rise at some point, only question is at what level they start to bite

I echo the comments of thorpy and jambon, my feelings for boohoo in the future are nothing but positive, just this one cretin has ruined things for the short term and I can't bare the thought of losing everything I have gained in 6 months in the matter of hours.

Yes, I've always had the dream and no doubt this news would almost kill me but I am happy to be out with SOME sort of profit for now rather than risk actually being down on my holding overall. I have lost about 10k holding these last 24hrs and as it stands I've saved a further 3k by selling when I did (209.73)

A director sell is a GUARANTEED fall in SP, the amount it falls and for how long is the unknown factor. If you knew for certain the share would fall short term, wouldn't you sell too?

Not sure if I count as one of the 'louder members' but director sells has always been the (only) potential weakness in Boohoo in my eyes. I fully intend to watch this and rejoin later. If the price goes back up instead then I guess I am priced out for good but that's the risk I take.
