jsmith, you have to try and take emotions out of investing. Holding because you are doing badly is one of the worst strategies there is, and long term pretty much guaranteed to wipe you out. There's so many expensive lessons to be learnt on the markets but you do have to LEARN from them and not just stay invested through nothing but stubbornness. You're hanging on to a dream here but there are so many better companies with genuine prospects and achievements.
WHat is your average here anyway? There's no way you have "tens of thousands" up at 9p ish, so im guessing your average is more around the 4-5p mark(?) being 75+ down is utterly painful but you must still have £1000s of value left; its not chicken feed so dont disrespect that cash leaving it in a company you have no faith in. I have sold out of companies at up to 90% down but in retrospect that 10% is a blessing. Honestly you sleep easier when you leave a loser behind, regardless of loss.
