Arsenal you are looking at FCA data showing disclosure of net short positions and is pretty misleading in most
What I would suggest you do is get a subscription with a financial institution that will give you visibility of stock on loan
This would show you as of end of October stock on loan for TATE was 7.38%
Ive had a quick look through the fundamentals but cant see why this would attract so much short attention
On loan stock end of October was very high
Would anyone care to enlighten me?
TIA
I dont think so, my guess its the shorts playing around..stock on loan was 2.47% at end of October so there at it.
Will be interesting to see if there are any changes in Nov when the month end data comes in
Both FT & Times today have large articles focusing on releasing share holder value via the split which according to PC is almost certainly going to happen
Solid business. Exciting times
Quite a few positives here (some nicked from advfn as im lazy at the mo) :-
decline of 5% year on year (reduced from 10% previously which is a significant improvement). Will neutralise and switch to growth as exit 2023
Net debt largely flat even up 100m, but remember one off july settlement payment of 67m to settle patent litigation case.
Sale of archiving business will reduce net debt by 400m. So £3.8Bn
-EBITDA ratio needs sorting
Add to that (2016 vs 2021)..Dividend will be at least 37% , FCF is at least 50% more , operating margin has improved from 32% to 55%, Net Debt has been reduced 40% blah blah
You raise an interesting point and its more significant than I thought originally. FCA shows shorts @ 0.9% but in reality the MCRO stock on loan was 3.83% at the end of October. I can now see than data (updated each month end)
When those *****es start to close out this will fly
Not at all threeputt the volume Im holding is much larger than I would use to trade
Also liquidity has never been great on CMC, not one to trade IMHO
As usual I came in too early but Im here for the long haul
I think this is very high value now and with shorts @2.07% I guess they must be looking to cash out at these prices causing heavy buying pressure as sellers dry up
Beth estimated net profit is circa £68m
Watch that video this is a business that is transitioning and expanding rapidly...market not yet got its head around it
Excellent link thanks so much Gogetum (ive put it on ADVFN)
This is very interesting.
The sell side of the book looks very quite to me, volume lower that I thought..SP bouncing around as antipicated
Let's see if the big boys make a move... VFIL Vertu Financial Ireland is working something
Polar Capital LLP +3.14m / +10,243.16% 3.17m
Northern Trust Global Investments Ltd. (Securities Lending) +1.76m / +2,377.03% 1.83m
Canaccord Genuity Wealth Ltd. +711.00k / +84.74% 1.55m
Victory Capital Management, Inc. (Investment Management) -- 519.00k
The Vanguard Group, Inc. +316.88k / +10.01% 3.48m
Norges Bank Investment Management -2.15m / -20.03% 8.57m
Man Group Investments Ltd. -642.35k / -74.09% 224.65k
Soci?t? G?n?rale Gestion SA -420.00k / -44.92% 515.00k
I see nothing we didnt know in the interims, " guidance reiterated at £250-280 million" etc Divi as thought etc
We are already 51.5% off the high of 559 but who knows how the market will react
Reuters dont help with there headlines!
I remember selling PLUS @ 230 , taking a profit, and wishing Id just held through the bs
I have 11.4p total dividend for the year Mary
You need to read that Rns again mate
However shorts do need to close out here...highly borrowed stock @ 6.2% end of Oct
We need the shorts to close out
FCA shows only 0.7%...at the end of Oct there were 6.2%....FCA data is a waste of time
When they do this will fly
I think / GUESS this RNS and news leak yesterday is in defense of a takeover approach (but difficult with a PC 65% holding)
Also considering the SP weakness would shareholders be more open to offers? Rumor was IG have raised a billion bond last week.
Push the price up with a leak & Rns and then again with OK results and shareholders are much more resilient to takeover approach's
#Theory
Dahhad this is what I meant by blow up
Only a donut like nuri would sell now...Shame he never owned any, and fabricates most of his posts , if not all of them
Could also be seen as a defensive move to hold off a potential takeover although with his 65% share this would be difficult
I think this is going to blow up
