Great list RS
I think this is a real effort to get the studios to wake up
“When you have a number of aces up your sleeve, you certainly can play with a good hand:
1. 10 years of profit and performance to demonstrate a sustainable business model (pre-covid) in contrast to companies who reported annual losses pre-covid.
2. A Paramount decree elapsing opening studios and media giants to take over and form their own cinema group; in turn up-selling merchandise and other packages to manipulate marketing presence during trailers as well (Disney holiday packages anyone?).
3. 2021 with the largest listing of movies and for Universal, their biggest year in history ($4bn box office in the making).
4. Vaccines significantly ahead of where we were in March when closures were about.
5. Sufficient liquidity to perform as-is to September 2021 (11 months).
6. 20% family stake and option to go private if need be.
Play your hand carefully.

NYC to closeToday 19:40
schools and non essential businesses from Wednesday, so cinema was never going to reopen there any time soon, i can see AMC following Cines' lead and following suit, because until the main markets in the USA reopen, films will continue to be pulled, maybe this will turn out to be a good move by Mooky after all, i hope so, time will tell”
