AIMOilking, you cant go wrong with RIO, massive dividend and you timing was practially spot on, just off the support level. I would be tempted myself if I had more funds. Never good idea to overload too much in any one stock imo.

price is followingr through as expected but still eary in the trading day, so better to see how it looks nearer to end of trading. But looking good for a strong move back up to 80p+. DYOR.

AIMoilking, I remember in 2009, watching GKP at 1p and hesistating buying then watching it double to 2p in a day or two, and seeing it eventually go to 300p, never pulling the trigger. Could have been a multimillionare if i had played it right back then. Still, I traded other AIM oilies and did pretty well, but back then didnt understand much about risk and wasnt able to assess the quality of a company as I can now. These days, I want to see plenty of cash in the bank. Seen far too many placements back in the day, that I don't want to go through that again. And got to some big potential upside too.
BTW, check out Jadestone energy. That is a producer , has lot of cash, and is dropped recently because of production was halved, but should only be temporary. Once it back price should recover nicely, I see 60 percent profit from current levels.

Price is being supported by the share buy backs, so basically can't lost at this price. When Maari field RNS came out last week, the price dropped to 65p than buybacks kicked in and came to the rescue. Imagine what will happen will good news is released? News on Montara expected soon. I see price to return back to the 100p's when Montara resumes full production, that is a 50 percent profit from current levels. Can't be too long now for news.

SImply wall street has fair value at £5.48. Dont't forget that assuming the farm out is succesful, at 10 dollar increase in oil prices increase NPV by 100 million I think it was, according to IC, will need to double check, but the farmout will be the gamechanger. here.

Sjab, It does look like the bottom to me,. I got the last 4 bottoms correct, so this will be number 5. WIll need to wait to see how the price moves for the next several days, but I wasnt too far off from calling it.

I see move back up to 80p +, a 60 percent+ profit from this level.

MRC, farmout news. EU will run out of gas by March. Some parts of EU are already running our of diesel. I wouldnt be in here, if it wasnt for macro conditions because like you said, farmout had almost zero chance of happenining before what with the green agenda policys running the roost, but totally diffferent today. Alsod, don;t mind if I'm wrong if support breaks I'm out. However, in the recession, I will only trade shares with lot of cash to mimize risk, and with some catalyst to drive prices higher.

this should be the bottom, its practically touching the trendline. I got in too early the last time out of greed and FOMO, but I would have bought in today if i had more available funds. Good luck though, just hoping support holds , which it is doing, the next few days will the decider. Good luck, and you have to be in it to win it.

the price has bounced off the rising trendline support four times, I caught all four moves. However, out of 2 of those I didnt sell at the top and when it hit resistance it fell back down back to support, not making or losing any cash. The other 2 times, I caught a 25 percent move, and another 25 percent move, or compounded 55 percent profit in total. The first 25 percent I had sold too early as it finished 100 percent higher. but the second 25 percent move was spot on, and I closed at the top. Can only trade probabilities here, as trading/investing is far from an exact science.

mrc, its hard to call the exact bottom precisely because there is only one bottom vs many lows. However, price is in the region of support where the probability of a bounce, resummption of the uptrend is the highest. I may have called it a little early, but my money is on a rise to previous highs fairly soon, as it has done the last four times, like clockwork. This could be the time when it fails, but the because of the large cash balances, and impending news, I think that is enought to support the current price levels. This stock is a traders share, bouncing off well defined trendlines, both support and resistance, so far its acting as expected.

On 7th October, there was c.$16.4 million left of buyback cash.
From 7th October to 26 October, £c. 850,000 in byback cash was spent.

So as of today, there is c.15.5 million cash buyback funds left.

Price is slowly bouncing off support as I expected. Expect to see a move back to the 80p's in the coming weeks. Any whiff of farmout news and its going to happen, just a question of when, it will rocket past the 80p's Nice safe entry point while waiting for takeoff. As the saying goes, "you have to be in it to win it".

The charts here are looking strong. we have a golden cross which is when the 50 EMA crosses above the 200 EMA, both rising, the 20EMA is rising. Price is above all the MA's. Price is consolidating in the 100p region, i.e building support for a move higher. Don't worry too much about price dropping on the ex-dividend though. When the price is in an uptrend, the price drop shouldn't last long, and should be minimal. There is a strong move ahead, and we could be seeing moves back to 110p and beyond. GLA. and DYOR.

There's consoildation around this price level. Price has not quite yet closed about 100p, but the signs are looking good that it will break out of 100p resistance fairly soon. Wednesday is the last day to buy in if you want the 8p per share dividend.

Farmout news could come any day now. Also, price has fallen back to support level again, so I bought back in.

Not quite end of trading yet for today but we are heading for another strong close. This is bullish and signals more to come next week. The way ahead is resistance free until 18p, so plenty more action to come. Beyond that we are going to need some good news in 4 weeks to get it moving beyond 18p. Todays volume is just over a third of yesterdays but with 20 percent price rise vs 30 percent yesterday(not yet closed yet). This indicates sellers are clearing fast.

WIl be interesting to see where the price is a year from now. Could be 4 times current price or even higher... money talks and with more wells coming online producing gas I can't see hwo this can stay at this price. These multibagger opportunities don't come often and are even harder to find in current macro outlook of recessions, and inflation, and an energy crisis. yet gas is needed to power factories and heat homes and to cook and with the age of cheap russian gas gone for god knows how long, the coffers here will be flowing like River nile.
