If HE1 was Exxon18 Aug 2021 15:14
Very positive results for drilling in the Karoo, 130m thick sealing unit (well above expectations). Every horizon/ formation has helium shows with a cumulative thickness of more than 90m and in total 5 helium shows, showing a very prolific Helium system. Four helium shows remain untested, after this drill, the chances of extracting helium have increased substantially. With the thick sealing, there is a very high chance of the Helium being trapped. The only negative is that HE1 were not able to flow gas to the surface. The exploration campaign is ongoing (with operational/ geological feedback formulating next steps).
DM couldn't be more positive, if this was any of the major players, they would be very happy with the results so far.
"If we were Exxon or Total would be commissioning a 10,000km seismic survey"
In summary the Rukwa basin has been substantially derisked. With this in mind, the share price has been artificially pushed down below where it should be. The logical support should have been around 18p and then falling into range potentially to 21.5p. The current support is at 10p and hardly any resistance up to 18p. Bands are narrowing and I think this will rise on any news suggesting that we are back on track.
