Largo article back in June '21: "Currently, as a producer of vanadium, it has sold the commodity vanadium pentoxide (V2O5) as an additive for steel manufacturing at an average price of US$7.75 per pound. It believes that in the energy storage business that same V2O5 would be worth US$12.39."

From this statement Largo were suggesting the same V2O5 for battery storage could be sold for 60% more than the prices sold into the steel additive market.

I have no idea what the cost per litre of electrolyte will be, but profit margins sound potentially encouraging if Largo's statement is anything to go by. DYOR, NFA.

knuttie - 'psychology of the market' stuff - if we are about to enter the 'disbelief' phase of the BMN SP recovery (no guarantees on that one AND don't us holders just know it, haha) I guess trapped buyers may not believe the rally is real and will sell into it. As the rally builds momentum, hopefully sell pressure will subside as those trapped that haven't yet sold and held out start to 'believe' in the recovery and more come on board to accelerate the recovery. NFA, DYOR.

Price seems sluggish to get past the 5p mark, but I'm not surprised. There's going to be a lot of 'trapped' buyers that want out between the 6-9p area and maybe cutting their losses above 5p. Just need to churn through these first and hopefully we'll get some movement, you'd think we would given the V price trajectory so far. That said, we're in a bear market generally and with the cost of living getting worse not everyone will be able to afford stocks (or want to take the risk versus cash in savings).

Once PI’s ween themselves off tech / meme stocks and it’s generally accepted that better returns are elsewhere, qualify mining producers making cash will surely benefit from vastly increased interest. We’re not there yet, but the rotation will happen.

This whole trading range since Sept - it's been approx 6 months and looks like a move up now (could be wrong, but seems like a healthy steady rise), I reckon this is where big money has been accumulating. Price has held steady within the range, few shakes sure, but steady - definitely the hall marks of large buyer accumulation to try to avoid detection and build a position at the lows. NFA, DYOR.

Once buyers step in it's hard to buy in size. Once this thing starts moving it's blocks of 50 /100 at a time in most cases.

Once more II’s come on board, then I think we start to move SP wise. I think it will be held back until then IMO. 2023 is ‘sort your affairs out’ year for BMN.

Starting to think we are down here SP wise to attract II’s. If you look at the SP averages for the institutions already invested it’s around the 4-5p mark. Let’s face it - they only really get involved at the lows.

What’s the consensus then, placing or no placing and how much?

@knuttie: Yeah, he has shares, can only think he'd want to see appreciation of them one day. At 44 years old, he's going to have an 'exit plan' somewhere down the road and retire. The incentive is there. That's why I believe there's a nice little 10 year road ahead on this one, assuming well paid CEO's typically look to retire around 55 ish.

So if the SP was to rise to 17p or above before Nov (unlikely as it might be)the cln's simply convert to shares for Orion and then we're in the all clear so far as this I take it? Could happen, have to see. It would take a strong wind behind our sails, granted, but V price and all the potential new flow this year could send it. NFA, DYOR.

I don't 'buy' the idea BMN could go bust, in my mind that's not likely. As for placing, yes maybe. So if they did a placing, what's the worst outcome there? They could easily do a placing at a price above where we are now and yes, there would still be some dilution. When was the last time BMN did a placing out of interest?

HMHG - We’ll it does offer the advantage of being able to add more lower when your accumulating a position. For those with large sums of money, because many AIM shares are illiquid, it can take a long time to accumulate a large position without them ‘showing their hand’ to the market. Also, big players accumulate at low prices to sell high. Most of us on here know all this, and I’m pretty sure you do also.
