Romaron, there is much logic and sense in what you say here. However climate warriors have not, to date, been impressed by such. We now live in a world of " I want it, and I want it now " and despite the absence of any, let alone any sensible, plan to move to zero carbon, they scream for immediate change.
I would be delighted to see more leaders of influential companies, who while still supporting zero carbon end game, come out and openly state that in order to get there we will continue to need fossil fuels for perhaps 20 to 30 years yet.
