Thanks Paddy/Hydro & Bancal...I also like this para towards the end.......
TS: With the lack of large deposits being found, and starting work on smaller projects less feasible due to higher commodity prices, do you think there are still some large ones out there? If so, where should we be looking?
BD: There are absolutely some big ones left to be discovered. The general problem is finding jurisdictions that are politically stable, that don’t use graft and corruption as business methods, that offer acceptable security for people working on the ground, and that are logistically feasible in terms of getting on the ground. This immediately rules out a lot of the world.
So, in lieu of this, companies are hunting elephants in known, friendly localities such as Canada and Australia, and pushing geological knowledge and technology as far as they can to find hidden and/or deeper deposits.

SB IMO shorters having another go at things this afternoon ...just as we were getting a nice head of steam this morning...so effing predictable I wish they would just take a long walk off a short plank.

In his October price outlook, Bloomberg Intelligence Senior Commodity Strategist Mike McGlone noted that gold price is likely to climb back towards last year’s lifetime highs above $2050.
Key quotes (via Kitco.com)
"It's only been about a year since gold's last peak, and we believe it should be a relatively short matter of time to revisit.”
"Gold has outperformed most major commodities in the past 20 years."
"Gold, like Treasury prices, has an enduring bull market in its favor, and a correction within that trend improves its relative value.”
“Gold appears too cold approaching the start of 4Q … Risks tilt toward a continuation of September's stock-market volatility, which should favor gold in 4Q.”
"The metal's nemesis -- the U.S. stock market -- hasn't had a meaningful pullback since the 2020 low. If equities are entering a more sustained wobbling period, we see gold, Treasury bonds and Bitcoin as top contenders for outperformance.”
Interesting obs. If Gold does hit 2k again towards year end it would nicely coincide with our PFS & MRE upgrade

plus a couple more taking us to around 20 outcomes would this be the biggest batch of results in our short history ?

Hi antigua you are correct in 2019 as GH kept saying " the market just does not get it" but eventually the market did get it. The fact GH kept reminding everyone how undervalued we were I believe made a huge difference to what happened in 2020.
Not criticising SD but I am sure there are references he can begin to make given the outstanding drilling progress again this year
GLA MFU
Only 3 and a bit weeks to the biggest cluster of drill results in 2021 ...then PFS (if not before) then MRE Upgrade (very early December)
I am not one to overstretch on expectations and I think we know that in AIM anything is possible. However while I agree with several posters in wanting to "dampen down" the potential impact of the PFS on our SP it cannot be ignored that in every single comms in the last 3-6 months from SD/GGP either on RNS' or Twitter posts or GGP corporate brochures etc under the heading of "Catalysts to add Shareholder value" is the PFS !
Therefore my view is that it SHOULD (not guaranteed) and SD thinks it SHOULD result in an increase in SP.

Palantir-another of the weekly new dud's-"such a great prospect can't wait to take a long position....but 12/13p is safe entry"
-might be right might be wrong may never get there...but for actually saying it you are a clear and obvious deramper
Palazzo-anyone else sick and tired of his cross-ramping ??!
GLA genuine holders-it's uncomfortable but take advantage of the prices where you can and do NOT engage with these idiots-Go instead to Magic, Bamps Zoros Hydro Paddy etc-they are all happy to give of their time so question and challenge them as they are all wanting the best for Greatlanders :)
BTB I well remember that 3 Year Fixed ISA post like it was yesterday it really struck a cord with me. So we are nearly two thirds through the term and are up over 1000% with another 15 months to maturity lol !
PS Around that time I put a portion of my "safe money" deposits in a Cash ISA for 3 years at 1.9% pa ! -hence why your post connected with me at the time :)

Nice one you too TomE !

Great post CTC like your style on a new thread! TomE don't be drawn in thats what they want !
GLA MFU
Don't want to get ahead of myself but under the PFS column the first bullet point states " Resource Upgrade" ! Maybe just maybe we might get a wee increase in the PFS after all ?

Cheers Zoros interesting exercise-put me down in the 5-10m oz category please fella
It's good to see that around three quarters of those that responded are erring on the cautious side which can only be good as far as realistic expectations go-also good feedback for those pesky posters that believe all Greatlanders are blue sky rampers!

Robbie2017-"Just wished I understood/knew how people make money on shares as it’s never happened for me (lost a fortune)…. GL those who are left…. (Sells will continue due to stop losses & margin calls)…."
Robbie I sympathise to a point but blaming rampers and then talking technical ie margin calls makes me think you know a bit more than you are letting on. Sorry mate if you needed the money then 10 days ago you would have got 19p. What stopped you selling then ?
GLA MFU
daveri-that's great research much appreciated. I would be shocked if it was CB but I guess it would be notified tomorrow if a 20m sale was actioned today ?

Could be a large background order. It is so difficult to understand the MM's I have given up trying to work out the daily shenanigans!
Hope all Greatlanders enjoy a great weekend

considering the weakness in the gold market the SP has held up very well today. Perhaps they don't want to take it down with newsflow in close proximity
GLA MFU
Not sure where you are looking peter but there have been regular batches of large sells 200-350 a couple of 750's and a couple of 1m through the morning particularly. IMO it is shorters at work. Too many clusters IMO for it to be pi's
As always there is some powder dry waiting if they really want to get silly
