LSE is reporting that MM sold 7m shares last week when in fact the RNS from last week shows it was Steve Whitehead who was the beneficiary of the shares and he seemed to get margin called on them and seemed to be forced to sell. The shares were held by Matt Moulding on Steve Whiteheads behalf. It seems Steve had a loan secured against the shares and the recent drop in the price meant he was automatically forced to sell.
Dan, the SP was much higher when there was no softbank involvement in THG. Involvement of softbank and the Ingenuity separation was slated previously as a reason for drop in the share price.
They can't use Softbank coming in and softbank going both as reasons for drops I think
@Kallu,
What is the price you will start buying at? Hoping for less than £1.00 I'd be guessing.
Starting to buy at this point at an all time low could be a good strategy, combined with a strategy of continuing to buy and average down if the price does drop further.
Wait and you risk missing the all time low price.
I agree with Pokerchips.
PUT Options expire on Saturday so many shorts may want to close their positions by Friday considering THG is on line to hit consensus sales and only just miss on the profits, which is very good considering the difficult market conditions currently.
Last month and the month before, we saw significant buying pressure on the 3rd Friday of the month, which is the last day shorts can close their PUT options if they expire this month. Many shorts would have called this month as the expiry date, hoping the results today were really bad. However, actually, they are on consensus broker targets. With continued growth of 22-25% and improving margin forecast for 2022, there is only one way the THG share price will be going, and that is up.

@Rony. Read my posts earlier about leaks from LinkedIn about solid performance on Q4.
Also, there were a number of indicators based on the Q3 update. Recommend you listen to the Q3 update webinar. thg.com

What exactly makes MM a manchild?
Because he works out?
Because he talked the truth about shorters on ONE occasion on an investor call, and then again when he was asked about that prior comment in the GQ interview?
I don't think you have any idea who Matt Moulding is or what he stands for.
He is a family man. He rewards his staff. THG are investing heavily in their ECO program and putting their money where their mouths are, buying a plastics recycling plant to ensure they are using 100% controlled plastics in the future.
