Gtx1 - I think you need to be more realistic with your expectations regarding the amount that will be finally collected. To quote Seb from one of his recent tweets (translated): "Today, significant discounts can be negotiated with judgment beneficiaries. With each passing day, those discounts will be exponentially smaller and, as taxpayers, we will have to pay them as we have already paid."
Note the words "significant discounts". Up to now most of the talk is a discount of about 50%, maybe a little less.
The fact that the president of Argentina has stated in an interview that they are looking at a solution is of course very positive, and maybe there will be a resolution agreed in principle between the parties during 2024, and payments begin in 2025, we will see.
I agree that it's certainly looking good for the BUR share price for 2024 / 2025 as in addition to Argentina we have:
a) Sysco which could be a significant settlement in 2025 maybe?
b) Interest rates expected to fall in 2024 which will inflate (notional) BUR earnings in 2024, and:
c) A general rise in equity values on the back of a lower interest rate environment.
d) Increase in deployments leading to rising earnings from 2025 onwards.
