Well, having approved an LNG facility as a logical necessity it would be absolutely astonishing if a second logical step is not taken and soon. As H/M said, we would all dearly love to know the already agreed terms of the farm-in. Hi P/P. If you used ‘quilt’ as a disparaging term for a person I’d be very interested to know the meaning or origin of the word or where it is used in the UK. The last time I ever heard the term used in that way was more than fifty years ago by my grandfather. I take it that (crazy) quilt = motley fool = just a plain fool, of which there are many masquerading here.

Last week, Shannon LNG got permission for a power plant and battery storage. What is still in contention is the LNG part of the project. The benefits and downsides of liquefied natural gas is another debate entirely. The ultimate goal of the project is to provide power for data centres.

D/N, thanks for that. I think the award of the SA for CS will be here long before the six months or so required (at a guess) to establish how sustainable and profitable those wells in T&T will be. At least there should be good indications by then how things are shaping up there.

Maybe the mathematicians here could give us a very rough estimate of what PRD might be worth without Morocco, supposing that CS gets the nod (extremely likely) and T&T continues to exceed expectations. Would 30P be too low or ridiculously high as an immediate target?

I was forgetting that deep Barryroe is a totally unknown quantity until it is drilled. If it contains as much gas as oil it, South Corib and I/W would leave Ireland ticking every box and sitting pretty on a mountain of revenue into the bargain.
