Yes, 14% interest and possible protracted litigation would frighten the life, and much else besides, out of most people, including governments. What choices have they? Reinstate the licences now, following what is likely to happen in England, or offer compensation. I certainly would take any reasonable compensation offered rather than wait years but that is not what the country needs. It makes absolutely no sense for a non-Green dominated government not to take reasonable, practical, security-conscious and income-producing decisions in the interests of the whole Country. Just how timely are these decisions going to be? The government will be letting the whole country down if there is procrastination until the Autumn a la Ryan.
