Glad to see this well spud at last. Has the potential, with the follow up drills, to provide further diversification from Putumayo and if Mariposa is anything to go by could substantially increase production.

ML I know of atleast one PI who sold out his entire 1.25m holding today. He was a LTH who simply became disgruntled with the BODs lack of action.

The BOD need to do something soon to steady this ship or more PIs will bail. Sincerely hope they keep to the Indico spud guidance or we will see more nerves kicking in over further delays.

The BOD need to man up and put that cash balance to good use to increase reserves and production. Better to try and fail than not try at all.

I think that it is fair to say that Newmont have had access to same information that the independent party will have for the 43-101. I am sure that they are more than capable of producing their own "in house" report and thought ANZA worth investing.

Expecting nothing but good news from the 43-101 and will be adding more OMI next week. IMO this is just the beginning.

Considering we are talking about the worlds second largest gold producer with $3.1bn cash on hand it is substantial that they consider ANZA as one of their most notable portfolio improvements.

Newmont se Columbia as being their next Peru and WILL be investing some of that $3.1bn in Columbia and OMI over the coming months / years.

IMO we cant fail to make profit from these levels. You are either too stupid to see the opportunity or naive enough to believe that you can influence the SP to get a better entry. I know where my money would be on that one.

IMO this is not difficult to work out.

OMI have all the Uruguayan liabilities tied up in Lorysor. Lorysor and the Uruguayan assets and liabilities will be shelved and OMI will go on to develop ANZA with Newmont.

Morally not good but my shares are in OMI and if Newmont make a success of ANZA I will make a packet. If not I will loose the capital. I have faith in ANZA, OMI AND Newmont so will hold and hopefully make a packet.

DYOR but it's a no brainer for me.

As soon as Newmont get started with next phase of drilling this will bag from here and will continue to bag as the drill results come in over the next 6 months. How many bags will depend on how good the results are. IMO 10 bagger all the way.

Definitely something brewing. Not got a clue what it is though. Anything on production, Chiritza or drilling etc would not have changed so materially to justify the delay. Seems that the company is in news blackout stage which suggests something big is brewing. What that is anyone's guess.

Could it be.

AMER acquisition of Putumayo assets, already in production, which materially changes production rates. Would make sense. Good use of capital, game changing and maybe even enable them to meet this years production targets.

ONGC bid for AMER's share of CPO5. Think it would be hard to justify LTT beyond 1 year so somethin g must happen on CP05 / Indico soon. ONGC court win will surely take the breaks off their plans for CP05.

Outright bid for AMER. Not implausible. Still questioning why GTE was listed on LSE without raising capital. Could it be to facilitate takeover of another LSE company with their paper.

Delay could be down to any, all or none of the above. Cant wait to find out what actually is delaying any news though.

As Columbia progresses and becomes more stable politically and economically there are more and more oil, gas and mining majors looking for a foothold in the country.

A key component to success for these companies is a reliable, low cost route to market. If there was a company out there who happened to own a pipeline with a potential capacity of 50,000 barrels per day they would be in great demand.

Wonder if anyone knows of such a company or such a pipeline.

As you say HullFC, we could all be reading to much into the Gran Tierra. However if there were to be a takeover now would certainly be the optimum time.

With the OBA throughput increase expected any day GTE could recoup the fee purely through the transport savings of the OBA.

The savings would be something in the region of £33m per year so it wouldnt take that long to recoup any takeover fee. Dependent on the TO price of course.

Agree MrP. I'm expecting to know the outcome within 6 - 12 months.

However Chicken deramps I'm sure any new investors will do their own research I did and here was my conclusion.

With Uruguay put to bed, Anza fully funded, the 2m received from Newmont OMI are fully funded for at least 1 year. No raise and no cash flow issues.

The phase on drilling results have been reviewed and verified by the 2nd biggest gold producer in the world. The high grades and strike extensions reported thus far have been verified.

If the next drilling campaign defines the strike length and depth of APTA and produces similar grades as phase 1 OMI will be ateast £100m MCAP. 10 bagger from my entry point.

If the next phase produces the same sort of results as phase 1 but the strike length and depth remian undefined then the sky's the limit and I would expect a MCAP +200M. 20 bagger from my entry price.

If the next phase of drilling defines a strike length and depth not much larger than current range then Newmont will walk away and I'd expect a MCAP around £50m or a 50% loss from my entry point.

Compelling odds so I'm in and no matter what anyone says I'll be holding untill we I know what option prevails.
